We did Sydney’s Razor Gang True Crime Tour in February 2026 and it was absolutely fantastic. The tour begins at the Fire and Rescue NSW Darlinghurst Fire Station and takes you through Sydney and Darlinghurst for 90 minutes of fascinating, gritty history. Walking through the very streets where the Razor Gang era unfolded made the stories feel incredibly real. Kate was outstanding. Her storytelling was captivating — dramatic, detailed and perfectly paced. She brought the crime bosses, rival gangs and 1920s underworld to life in such an engaging way. It never felt like a history lesson — it felt immersive. She balanced dark history with just the right amount of humour and made the whole group feel comfortable and included. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does. For $34, this tour is exceptional value. If you’re interested in Sydney’s darker past, this is an absolute must-do — and if you get Kate as your guide, you’re in for something special. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic evening wandering the dark streets and alley ways of Darlinghurst, seeking out the sites of infamous crimes and the haunts of the lead players in the heady Razor Gang days of the 1920s and 1930s. Our guide, Caitlin, was fabulous, a fountain of knowledge enthusiastically bringing to life the raging conflicts and violence between the gangs and other assorted characters competing for turf in a seedy world of prostitution, sly grog and cocaine. Caitlin, we loved your graphic accounts of some of the more gruesome events. But people, be prepared for 90 minutes that involves plenty of walking, with some hills and stairways. The tour is well worth the effort and the price. Thank you Caitlin for keeping us thoroughly entertained throughout!
