Itinerary
A walk through Australia's most historic precinct. Learn the fascinating story of our nations unique founding. Discover the areas historic buildings and hidden alleys.
Enjoy a stroll around this spectacular icon of Australia. The face of Sydney. Learn The Opera Houses' interesting story and take some stunning photos.
A short drive from the Sydney Opera House, past beautiful historic buildings and the magnificent St Mary's Cathedral will lead us to Mrs Macquarie's Chair. This destination offers perhaps the most marvellous view over the city and its icons. The photos to be taken here will be held on to for life.
A scenic drive through the opulent, harbour side suburbs of Sydney, through Potts Point, Darling Point, Point Piper, Rose Bay and Double Bay will take us to our favourite cafe in all of Sydney. The Grumpy Baker serves delicious coffee, patisseries and some iconic Australian foods (I promise they are friendly!).
Australia's most iconic stretch of sand. The marvellous Bondi Beach. At this destinations we can go for a walk along the beach, jump in the ocean, take some stunning photos or even enjoy a crisp local beer at the Bondi Pavilion.
Kirribilli offers us a brilliant view from a different perspective of the city and its icons. This is a nice quiet park with far fewer people. A very pleasant stop.
Felons Brewing Co. in Manly is our favourite restaurant in all of Sydney. A very fun yet elegant atmosphere, great food at good value, and just the most magnificent view over the Sydney Harbour (the restaurant sits over the water). Here we will enjoy lunch and a nice beverage.
Another of Sydneys famous beaches. We will jump out of the car and go for a stroll along the beach, take some great photos and enjoy the sun.
North Head Sanctuary is a National Park right in Manly. This destination offers the grandest view in the city that spans over the entire region of Sydney. It is staggering. The area is also a perfect example of the nature that would have covered the city prior to British settlement.
En route to your hotel, there are two options; we can take the Manly Ferry which will take us directly into the city. The ferry ride is so scenic and gives a different perspective of the city as we cruise the Sydney Harbour, this can sometimes be a good alternative to avoid traffic. The second is to be dropped back to your hotel in the vehicle. The choice is yours! Just ask us if you are unsure.

We spent the first of our two day tour with Gabi, exploring Sydney, Bondi beach & the surrounding area. She was so enthusiastic & knowledgeable about all of the sights we explored. She was kind enough to amend the itinerary to include some additional places we wanted to visit. We loved everything she showed us. We had already pre-booked a second day to visit the Blue Mountains and now we are very much looking forward to it. We would highly recommend Gabi & this tour company to anyone visiting Sydney. We would also highly recommend booking the two day tour, it’s really worth it.
This is a fantastic tour. Our local Sydney guide Alex showed us the best day. From pick up to drop off everything was professional, seamless, comfortable and enjoyable. We visited Bondi (we now know the correct pronunciation), had a nice cold beer and some delicious pizza in Manly Beach (great story about the name!) and Alex allowed us to delight in his rich knowledge of Sydney history in The Rocks. You will not regret choosing this tour!
Out of our whole trip around the Southern Hemisphere, thistour might be our favourite… surprising us greatly! The whole day was an incredible amount of fun. Sam was at our hotel early and greeted us right on time to start the tour. From the first interaction we knew we were in good hands. Sam was so full of enthusiasm, obviously a proud resident of Sydney (and for good reason too), it was clear he was passionate about his job. The itinerary kept us entertained, informed, well fed and well quenched throughout the entire day. A perfect assortment of sightseeing, nature history food, Australian wines (Sam’s recommendations). It was awesome to see the opera house up close, learn the history in Rocks area and then enjoy a nice lunch by the beach at Bondi. It is a a day well spent and we are so glad to have chosen this company. Thanks again Sam, best of luck my friend.
G'day Scott! I can't thank you enough for taking the time to write this wonderful review, we are very grateful. I am just so glad to hear that you all had a good time on board my tour. I had so much fun showing you through this great city that I love so much! Merry Christmas Scott!
We spent an exceptional day touring Sydney with Alex. From the moment he collected us, his professionalism was evident. He had great knowledge of the city’s history, architecture, and culture, and he conveyed it with clarity and enthusiasm. We visited key landmarks such as the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Bondi Beach, as well as several lesser-known vantage points that offered remarkable perspectives of the city. The itinerary was thoughtfully paced, allowing us to appreciate each location without feeling hurried. The vehicle was immaculate and comfortable, and Alex ensured our comfort and safety throughout the day. His attention to detail and genuine pride in Sydney made this a thoroughly rewarding and memorable experience.
Absolutely the best tour ever! We took the Sydney Private Full Day Tour and from the moment we stepped onto the super nice comfortable van, the fun, relaxing, and informative tour began. We never felt rushed and very much enjoyed the history and stories Sam & Alex shared with us of their beautiful city. We saw everything on the itinerary and even added some. There was so much fun and laughter and good music too! Pick up at cruise port to dropping off at hotel was seamless and so easy. Highly recommend this tour!
We were in Sydney from Atlanta for our nieces wedding and decided to explore the city a little deeper on our spare day off. We immediately fell head over heels in love with this beautiful city. We could not have been more glad to choose this company to take us on tour. Sams itinerary was just perfect, around every bend was a new and exciting thing to see, it was the variety that impressed us most. One moment we are taking photos by the Opera House, the next we are walking through the bush to some beautiful little cove, then we are cruising through Sydney’s suburbs singing along to Rod Stewart to end up at Bondi Beach. At Bondi we enjoyed a tasty Australian beer, Sam’s choice, and some oysters. The remainder of the day was spent exploring the secret local spots in Sydney before finishing the day in Manly Beach. Overall, this tour was just brilliant, 10/10 could not recommend more. I couldn’t imagine a better way to get to know Sydney then joining Sam on this tour. Thanks for the excellent day Sam!

We had an amazing day exploring Sydney! Sam made the tour fun, engaging, and full of interesting stories about the city. The tour balanced the iconic sights like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge with more quieter spots we never would have discovered on our own. The van was comfortable, the pace was relaxed, and the lunch stop at Felons in Manly, was fun and lively! Everything felt personalised and well organised. This tour is a must for anyone wanting to see Sydney.

Incredible day out with Aus Adventure Company. Our family of five had the best time exploring Sydney in a way we never could have done on our own. Sam was super friendly and full of fun facts and knew all the secret spots that made the day feel really personal not just the usual touristy stuff. We saw awesome sights like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge but also got to check out some quiet coastal trails hidden beaches and had an epic lunch with amazing views. The van was clean and comfy and everything was super well organised without feeling rushed. Highly recommend for families this was a highlight of our whole trip.
We had the most marvellous time touring Sydney with Sam. Truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment he greeted us out the front of our hotel, we knew we were in good hands. He was warm, upbeat, and full of energy. The day was packed with variety. One moment we were strolling through the historic laneways of The Rocks. The next we were standing by the Opera House taking in that iconic view. Then came a cheeky drink by the beach, and finally a walk along the sand at Bondi. Every stop brought something new. It never felt rushed or scripted. Just easy and enjoyable from beginning to end. Sam was a delight. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to spend time with. You can tell he loves what he does. We laughed, we learnt, and we saw so much more of Sydney than we ever could have on our own. Highly, highly recommended The Australian Adventure Company. Thank you Sam!
We had such a fun day in Sydney with Sam! It was amazing how quickly it felt as if we made a new friend. Sam was out the front of our hotel early ready to go. One moment walking through the super cool historic buildings of The Rocks learning of Sydney’s interesting history, the next taking photos by the opera house, then drinking beer by the beach and then roaming the sand at Bondi!
