A highlight of the day is our bushwalk through Wentworth Falls, which is famous for its undercliff walk, a scenic trail that winds beneath massive sandstone overhangs along the Jamison Valley. We will stop for lunch and free time in the charming village of Leura and finish the day at some of Katoomba’s most famous lookouts including the Three Sisters. We begin early, leaving the beautiful city of Sydney behind as we head west. Around 40 minutes later we arrive at our first stop: Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park. This is the home to the largest collection of Australian native animals in the world, with over 2,000 animals on site. Featherdale is renowned for its close-up wildlife encounters. Here, you can hand-feed friendly Kangaroos, take a professional photo with a cute and loveable Koala, snap a selfie with the “happiest animal on earth” the Quokka and meet Wombats, Tasmanian Devils and more. You’ll also see the vibrant colours of Australia’s native birdlife, including Emus, Cassowaries, and laughing Kookaburras. For those excited to explore Australia’s wilder side, some of the country’s most famously “scary” creatures are also on display including Dingoes, Crocodiles, Snakes, and Spiders.
A highlight of the day is our visit to Wentworth Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the region. The falls plunge nearly 300 metres in total, making them among the tallest in the Blue Mountains and a true standout of the tour. Wentworth Falls is famous for its undercliff walk, a sheltered and scenic trail that winds beneath massive sandstone overhangs along the Jamison Valley. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful walks in the Blue Mountains, offering dramatic perspectives and constantly changing views. On clear days, the lookouts provide sweeping panoramas stretching more than 50 kilometres across the valley. Bushwalking is a classic Australian experience, and there are several walking options here to suit different energy levels. Please note that the area does include stairs and as the saying goes, what goes down must come back up. But the effort is well worth it, especially with lunch waiting at our next stop.
We then visit Leura Village, widely regarded as the prettiest village in the Blue Mountains. Elegant, leafy, and full of character, Leura is known for its charming main street and relaxed mountain atmosphere. Enjoy free time to have lunch at one of the many cafés, patisseries, or tea rooms, browse boutique shops and bookstores, or simply wander and soak up the peaceful mountain surroundings.
The afternoon brings you to Echo Point, the Blue Mountains' most famous lookout. Bask in the golden light as it illuminates the Three Sisters and casts a mesmerizing blue haze across the valley.
Before returning to Sydney, stretch your legs at Cahill’s Lookout and Boars Head, two final breath-taking views over the megalong valley to cap off your day. Enjoy the flexibility to customize your stops and make this tour truly your own.

Misty hike, might suggest hiking boots, but definitely doable. Wonderful vistas. Mark was an awesome host and guide. Name that tune-Aussie style was so much fun.
Mark was our guide. It was a true small group tour in a very comfortable van that was very clean and had great visibility. I am a big guy (well over 6 foot and not skinny) so van space is important to me on tours. The tour was over 9 hours, but the time flew by. The bushwalk was a highlight especially accented by Mark’s knowledge of the flora and fauna. We really enjoyed the time at the wildlife sanctuary and would love to have spent more time there, but all in all our time was managed very well. Mark’s audio commentary was excellent in the van and the sound system performed nicely which tends to be a problem on many tours we go on. We learned a lot about Australia. The bushwalk registered 17 flights and some 10,000 steps on my Apple Watch. The views were breathtaking and well worth the hike. We had perfect weather in mid April. We were in Sydney on a cruise ship stop for the day. We had complications due to customs, but the communication and accommodation by the company were excellent in arranging our pick up and drop off. BTW. The lunch was great and we appreciated the recommendations and suggestions from Mark as to what was available. We have no negative feedback whatsoever for this experience and would wholeheartedly recommend you go with them.

Amazing guide. Mark made the trip. He modified the walking to fit my wife’s knee while also showing us everything and challenging the rest of us to get some amazing views. His knowledge was deep and varied to make the day informative and entertaining. We did Australian music trivia on the drive back which made the time fly by. Probably the best tour guide we have had in any country we have used Viator in.

This tour was the perfect mix of the Blue Mountains. Craig was a great guide and communication pretour was perfect. Pickup was on time. I enjoyed the Featherdale Wildlife park. We arrived before the big buses and I felt like we had plenty of time to see everything. The walk to Wentworth Falls was awesome. We were given a choice on the way back(one way was easier than the other). The weather was perfect while we were at Echo point.. and the views did not disappoint.

Sights were amazing, and seeing animals at wildlife park was fun. Lunch stop was charming. Mark our guide/driver was fantastic guiding us along the day and a fountainof information; he made it fun and was personable. Well managed time, we spent the perfect amount at each stop. Must do tour!

I chose this tour with Sydney Adventure Tours on the recommendation by my sister Ann who had come last year and also the reviews. Our guide Mark was fun to be with, knowledgeable, entertaining, observant and caring for our safety. Our group totalled 5 and we all got along well. Our stops were great, his recommendations for restaurants were really good and his timing at each spot was great. We were very lucky weather wise as we were supposed to have rain but it held off until the very end of the day. On the way back to Sidney Mark played us music composed, written and sung by Australian singers and musicians. A lot of fun to hear them and learning about the artists. Robert and I highly recommend this tour and ask for Mark!

Even thought we had a drizzly day, we were able to hike and visit all of the sights. Mark was our tour guide and he was excellent - very knowledgeable and very entertaining! It was a great day & I would highly recommend!
