Surf Lesson with a Personal Instructor at Kuta Beach

I experienced it with my daughter, my husband and the whole family in elementary school, high school and college. We planned for about two days, but it was too much fun, so we ended up signing up for all four days we were in Bali and surfing for two hours early in the morning. I was very satisfied with the coaches' explanations because they were easy to understand and spoke in Japanese. I want to go again. It was really nice, fun and awesome, being on the board on the first day and riding the waves!

I booked this for my husband and he had a blast! The instructor was so helpful and he loved this experience we highly recommend if you’re looking to surf no matter the level or experience. :) they also take some awesome photos to purchase so we can remember this day forever.

Surfing equipment is available here, including clothing that can be borrowed or purchased. There's a changing area, bathrooms, lockers, and free towels for those learning.

My son and I booked 1on1 lessons and I can say enough positive things about the coaches. They were patient and encouraging. Total pros!

The surfing was a really fun experience, and the guys took the time to explain everything and help you along the way. The only problem was that if you wanted to surf, you always had to wait for the people before you because they were essentially blocking your path, and you didn't want to deliberately hurt them by surfing into them. Otherwise, it was a really fun experience.

I thought it was a really cool experience. I would definitely recommend to go and do this! The instructors were professional and enthusiastic.

the teachers were very cool, in particular T, he was my teacher and he was so good at explaining and he was so calm with me. he was the best and so cool. I raccomanded this school very much!

We had a fantastic 3-day surfing experience with Odysséys Surf School — it was our first time ever trying surfing, and it couldn't have been better! The personalized beginner coaching was perfect for our family, including our 9-year-old daughter, Prisha. Prisha absolutely loved it — in fact, she didn’t want to leave the water! The coaches were incredibly professional, patient, and made the whole experience fun and safe. A special shoutout to Coach T (who guided us adults so well) and Coach Saipoo (who connected beautifully with Prisha) — thank you both for making surfing such a joyful and memorable experience for our family. Highly recommended for families and first-timers looking for a safe and enjoyable introduction to surfing!

I had a private lesson here at Kuta beach. The online check in was efficient (I booked last-minute the day before and still managed to get booked in) and the communication from the company was professional and clear. On the day I met my instructor, changed at the onsite facilities which includes changing rooms, showers, clothes drier and lockers. Everything was clean and modern. A rash guard is provided free of charge. There is a good selection of boards including hard and soft top. The lesson itself was great. The waves were perfect for beginners and the sandy ground means it's way less risky than over coral. The instructor was extremely experienced, good English and importantly - lots of fun! The lesson was tailored to me including practice close to shore then paddling further out with the instructor once my consistency was good. He made time for a break at shore and free water when my fitness became the limiting factor! I made tonnes of progress in the 2 hours I was on the water. After the lesson I was offered (and no pushyness in the slightest I would add) to purchase professional photos taken from shore - the entire selection of about 10-15 photos for only 100k IDR! This was very impressive as many experiences like this I've had elsewhere would try to charge you that for one or two out of the bunch which often makes the value not worthwhile; here they give you the lot! That meant it was an easy yes from me. A fabulous morning and thoroughly recommended!

I cannot recommend the guys at Odysseys Surf School enough. They’re attention and teaching was second to none. A particular shout out to Ti & Wi, Wi for his patience with me and to Ti who has definitely given both the girls the surfing bug!
