Description
Passing through the characteristic Etna villages, you will observe various vineyards and orchards and going up in altitude, you will discover a lot about the villages, the population and their culture. Along the way our guide will explain the story of the birth of the largest active volcano in Europe.

Itinerary
Visit of extinct craters at an approximate height of 2000 meters. Soft. Trekking suitable for everyone. During an easy excursion on extinct craters, you will see the unique landscape with different lava flows next to birch, oak and pine woods; we will proceed on foot in the innermost parts of old extinct craters, where walking on the edge you can admire a spectacular view. You will explore a typical lava flow cave formed during an eruption, equipped like speleologists with helmet and torch. These caves were created by lava flows and still have special properties.

We enjoyed the excursion with our friends, and also enjoyed meeting some other travelers from Italy. Our guide Danila was knowledgeable, high energy, and also enjoyed sharing his experience with the surrounding communities. Sunset is the perfect time to visit Etna!
Great guide Roberto- even our teenagers told they loved the tour. First time ever :) Nice views and interesting stories/information abot volcanos. Trekking was not too challenging but still needed some effort.
