Nate is the best! We had the most wonderful experience, full of history, stories and his own personal experiences growing up right there in the Valley. 100/10 would recommend!!
Our guide Travis was very knowledgeable about both the history and culture of the Navajo people. He explained things clearly, from how the rock formations were created to how the area has been used by his ancestors. Despite knowing a lot, he was down-to-earth and easy to talk to, not lecturing at all. One thing that stood out was that Travis stopped at a couple of viewpoints and played music and sang for us. It wasn’t something we expected, and it added something extra to the tour. The landscape itself is impressive - you recognize the formations from movies, but seeing them in person is different. The light changes throughout the tour, which makes for good photos at different points. Tips: Bring plenty of water - it’s dry and hot, and there are no shops along the way Wear sunscreen and something to cover your head Book a guided tour with a local Navajo guide rather than driving yourself - you get much better insight, and it supports the local.
We had a wonderful sunset tour. Our tour guide, Dark Sky, was phenomenal. We were never rushed at any of our stops. He gave us a fantastic tour with a lot of interesting information, took pictures of us in some beautiful locations, and gave us a very authentic tour with his knowledge on petroglyphs and the Navajo culture.
We are so pleased we decided to book this sunset tour. We enjoyed the special treat of the beauty and culture that Travis, our tour guide, shared with us. We experienced close up scenes and restricted area access, riding in the back of the 4 wheel tour truck. We experienced live music performances and heard stories about the Navajo people. It was on another level special.
Travis was our tour guide on the sunset tour in Monument Valley. He provided lots of interesting background information and showed us many sites. As a professional artist and singer, he even played his flute and did a drum prayer for us on the tour. The sites are breathtaking, and I loved seeing the wild horses roaming freely. The terrain is pretty rough on the road so I would not recommend this for anyone who is frail and cannot handle a very bumpy ride.
Nate was amazing! The tour experience was wonderful, especially due to his insight and knowledge. The meet place was very confusing and would recommend that the different tour companies have some kind of signage to help guide guests.
What an amazing experience for my family. Jameson was our tour guide and made sure that we did not miss anything. By the way Jameson if you read this - thanks for the tip on dinner - awesome!!! It was so amazing to hear the history and culture of these lands.Highly recommend.
Much more than a site visit! The extraordinary guide made this moment a journey out of time.
Fantastic excursion to discover the treasures of Monument Valley and Navajo culture thanks to the guide Nate. The 3 hours of the tour flew by thanks to his stories about the traditions of the Navajo people that he narrated along the way, stopping at stunning locations and off the classic car tour of Monument Valley. The weather was inclement for most of the journey, but the beauty of nature and the final sunset made the experience even more magical. Absolutely recommended.
Sandrea was great, she taught us a lot of things about Navajo culture. I totally recommend taking this tour.
Good morning, Sandrea is a great guide who we are so lucky to have be apart of our team. The Navajo culture and history is truly one inspiring and one of a kind. Thank you so much for your recommendation and leaving us a five-star rating. Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather.
