Step aboard Kalbarri’s only river cruise on the serene Murchison River. After a safety briefing, we’ll journey 6km upstream (12km round trip) to the furthest navigable point, offering captivating commentary on the region’s history, fishing industry, and unique wildlife. Relax and take in the scenery as the landscape unfolds into open spaces and low shrubbery, home to ospreys, kites, pelicans, egrets, black swans, and the majestic white-breasted sea eagles. You might also spot kangaroos, emus, and goats along the riverbanks. The cruise features stunning colored rock formations and a narrow channel near Goat Island. At our turnaround point, Rocky Crossing, you can stretch your legs before heading back to enjoy more sights, photos, and relaxation. We finish at the river mouth where the Murchison meets the Indian Ocean, navigating one of WA’s most treacherous channels. Witness the power of the ocean—a perfect finale to this unforgettable experience.

Come aboard and enjoy a 12 km return cruise up the Murchison River. Sit back, relax, and sip on a complimentary hot drink as you take in the stunning scenery. Along the way, you'll hear fascinating commentary about the area, spot wildlife like kangaroos, emus, eagles, hawks, kites, and pelicans, and share a few laughs with fellow passengers. We may even make a stop at the halfway point to stretch our legs. Be sure to keep your camera ready for beautiful sunsets and rugged landscapes that will take your breath away. A licensed bar is available onboard for your convenience.

This was our third trip with Grant and Tracey on Kalbarri wilderness . We love going up the river in Kalbarri and each time has not disappointed. The Boat is comfortable with Toilet facilities. Grants Comantory is Wonderful. Knowledgeable but also very funny. We will do again next time we visit.

Absolutely amazing. Love how they stopped and you could get off and the kids could swim. Service was impeccable. Definitely a must do in kalbarri 😊

Everthing was easy to do and the experience itself was a lovely relaxing 2 hours to finish the day. The Captain and First Mate were a wealth of information with a bit of humour thrown in , loved it .
What an awesome experience, would give it more than 5 stars if that was possible. We did both a morning and evening cruise and both were delightful and different with the way the sun changed scenery and the wildlife we saw. Tracy and Grant were amazing hosts, full of knowledge about the area, hospitality was amazing and they made us feel like family. This gentle little trip is essential for getting the full Kalbarri experience. It would be very difficult to fully get your bearings and understand the Murchison River without travelling upstream. The operators are personable, friendly and knowledgeable and their love of the environment shines through. Thoroughly recommended.

This is my second time on a cruise with Tracey and Grant, and it was great! They both have amazing personalities for being friendly and helpful, and Grant gave a lot of information along the way. When it came to the sunset, Grant made sure to move the boat so each side could get a photo. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is a great way to relax and unwind while learning about the area and seeing wildlife. I had to amend the booking to cancel one person, and Tracey was very helpful in cancelling it through Viator. Thanks, guys for another great cruise!
