Intermediate workout for adults in groups, couples or single kayakers. Ever sailed under the Venetian bridges, along Venetian canals? Or visited a Venetian rowing club? Venice has a long tradition of water sports, do you know? We are Nicoló and Aleksandra, a young couple living in Venice. Let us show you Venice from cultural, sports-oriented and local perspective. Improve your kayaking skills in authentic canals of Cannaregio or Castello; visit the historically important Venetian rowing club, as it is the best place to immerse yourself in Venice's history, traditions, and contemporary life. No doubt, the pink and gold sunset view from the water will be one of your travel highlights and one of the most beautiful memories from this romantic moment! How many kilometers will we paddle? We will do 4-5 kilometers.

- On certain dates, most travelers staying outside of Venice who are planning to visit for the day will be required to pay a €10 access fee.
- Physical exertion is required on our classes, they are sporty. You should have experts/medium paddling skills. You should be in suitable physical condition (each paddler must be: less than 120 kilos for men, less that 100 kilos for women; and be able to enter kayak cabin size 80 cm long and 40 cm wide) and mental condition to participate in sports activities, including dangerous ones, and to be free from any impediment disorders. - During the classes, we often encounter waves of one foot (30 - 40cm) as well as other boat traffic.
- Two double kayaks are provided for each class. When there are only adults in a group, the guide decides on the spot who uses the double kayak based on their physical abilities.
- The class can be cancelled by the instructor in the following cases: 1. Bad weather conditions: strong winds, rain, fog, lightning and tornadoes, events, demonstrations, strikes or other conditions that make the class unsafe or impossible. A trainee will be contacted to arrange a rescheduling for the cancelled class. 2. If a trainee arrives drunk or drugged. 3. If a trainee does not meet the requirements mentioned above.
- The class can be rescheduled by the instructor if there are any changes in working hours or internal works in the club in connection with important sporting events or any other circumstances related to the club's internal processes.
- Paddling is a sport activity. It requires strength, concentration, attention, and a positive state of mind and body, so make sure you're prepared. Before the class, rest, do some exercises to warm up your muscles, don't overeat or drink alcohol. Get ready to do sports physically and morally!
- * Don't use your phone or camera while you are paddling. It's prohibited to use phones or cameras during the class, you will have to leave it in a locker. The instructor will take pictures for you and send them to you after the class. It's okay if you film on a Go Pro or camera attached to a hat or life jacket, since you can paddle freely.
- Children between the ages of 8 and 17 are welcome to participate in the class, but only in one double kayak with their parents or instructors (i.e., they cannot sail alone).
- If there is only one booking (a single participant) for a specific tour, time, and date, the guide may reschedule it to allow the single participant to join a shared group.

An absolute must-do! The most authentic way to experience Venice ✨ This wasn't my first time kayaking with Nicolò, and it certainly won't be my last! I first discovered them in the summer, and as someone who loves Venice but hates the crowded tourist lines, I knew I had to try it. If you want to escape the crowds and truly feel the soul, history, and culture of this magical city, this is the perfect experience. Nicolò is an amazing guide. He doesn't just give you the usual tourist clichés; you get real historical insights, cultural context, and local stories. But he also knows when to just let you enjoy the moment. There is nothing like paddling through the quiet canals, watching the fish swim in the water, or spotting a seagull trying to open a freshly caught crab. It’s a peaceful, authentic Venice that most people never see. The city was built on water, and exploring it from the water changes your whole perspective. I’ve done this tour in the summer, and I even had the privilege of going on the very last day of the year when the canals were completely empty. It is magical in every season! Don’t worry if you’re not an athlete or have never kayaked before—it is completely safe, easy, and relaxed. You really have no excuses not to try it. It is worth every single penny. A very good experience to see Venice from the water, and to go at your own pace; the tour is long enough to see many things. Very interesting explanations from the guide Nicolò, a glimpse of Venice that we would never have had otherwise.
I toured with Cao Rio Kayak and it was one of the best outdoor experiences of my life. Venice seen from kayak is something magical: silent, authentic and full of incredible views that you normally can not see. The organization is perfect and the atmosphere super relaxed, but the real difference was made by the guide Nicolò: nice, prepared and able to convey all the passion for Venice and kayaking. It made the tour even more engaging and fun. Absolutely recommended experience, both for those visiting Venice for the first time and for those who want to experience it in a completely different way. One of those activities that really sticks with you.

This was a fantastic way to see the city. We crisscrossed throughout the smaller canals, learning about the architecture and rich history, and had a bunch of fun
Wear a windbreaker and comfortable clothes, it got cool. Bring water. It’s a good workout, fun and with beautiful scenery!
Seeing Venice from the canals is a unique experience and this opportunity to do it by kayak is really not to be missed! The guides are local guys who accompanied us and were fantastic, enriching the tour with anecdotes and interesting information. They were also super helpful to answer our questions and curiosities always with a smile. In addition, they were very careful to take several photos along the way, to have beautiful memories to look back at and share. The tour is really fun and manageable, giving you the chance to enjoy incredible views, especially if you choose the sunset time option. Equipment is provided on site, there is also a very useful leg cover for splashing, perfect in the cooler months. Please note: the activity requires a minimum of physical effort, so it is suitable for people who are at least a little sporty. It is preferable to have already tried kayaking in other contexts, but it remains a feasible activity for everyone; the important thing is to report in advance if you are on your first experience. I recommend wearing comfortable clothes, possibly a tracksuit or sportswear. You are not allowed to bring your phone for security reasons, but you can use an action cam fixed with a clip (of course this is not provided, if you want to use your action cam arrange to have a clip and, for example, a hat to fix it on). At the starting point you can leave a small backpack with your belongings that is stored in a lockable locker, so 100% secure. In conclusion: experience to do absolutely, this for posting is the best you can do in Venice!!
