Great experience for those that like to have fun and do something different. We had the best time and the bar stops were top notch and fit the experience, old school spots with the perfect vibe.
We booked the Cantina riding tour through San Miguel de Allende and it was fantastic. The cowboys were informative and encouraging, and everything was extremely well organized. It was an incredibly fun way to spend our last night in the city! Also shout out to our horses Monarcha and Capitan!!
This was such a fun excursion, a great way to see San Miguel de Allende and discover hidden Cantina’s. Our guides were awesome, the tequila and cerveza’s even made our horses happy!
So much fun! Monique and her vaqueros are amazing - great horses, unique experience riding through an historic city. The last stop was truly special. I highly recommend the experience for all types of riders (and even those who haven't been on a horse).
This was so much fun! We were able to see most of the city via horseback. Tourists and locals were waving and taking pictures of us. It was a real highlight of the trip
We were asked to move the ride from 5 pm to 6 pm, so we sort of missed the sunset, and went to two cantinas and then at the very end of the tour were left at a third cantina/restaurant that had food. When I signed us up I thought we were riding through a park, but the tour we had took us through the center of San Miguel de Allende on the cobblestone roads. One of our members was very unsure about riding and she was put on the most spectacular and steady horse(Capitán) and she had a great time. I was beyond thrilled to ride the beautiful Palomina, Chiquita. My husband road an Appaloosa (Covy [Covid]) and his saddle had a machete attached, so for picture purposes, he was happy. There were four people in our party and two in the other. For the six of us they had a lead guide on a horse, an additional guide in the middle also on a horse, AND a third guide who WALKED behind us to make sure all was okay. That is how slow were were going. So, THREE guides for 6 guests. The horses were very well behaved and seemed to enjoy their route/trek. We rode for almost an hour before the first stope. The first cantina was up on top of the hill and the bartenders were very kind. The second cantina we had actually been to earlier in the week during a tacos and tequila tour. It was nice to have some familiarity. Lastly, they took some pictures of our groups before they left us at a third restaurant that had live music and food. The Guides really took care of us and the horses. I feel like a tour through the town, while a little crowded with cars, —was charming. The city is really beautiful and getting to see it slightly elevated, and slowly was really memorable. Little kids and families would come to the doors of their houses and wave. It was overall a fun experience. The cantinas they picked were authentic and it was great to be left at a restaurant where we had dinner and enjoyed a rock band. Note that for the two hour tours the drinks are not included, so when you stop you order and pay for your drinks.
Lots of fun! Great guides and gentle horses. Stopped at old style cantinas along the way through residential el centro neighborhoods.
Very well planned and organized tour taking us through different areas of SMA. We had a great time and really enjoyed the tour
Underwhelming and overpriced .Riding horses into a busy town during a holiday season was not a great idea. No guides, no history, poor choice of cantinas. Three horses were visibly stressed. The concept is neat yet is poorly executed. The communication with the coordinator is great, very attentive company.
I’m so impressed with this company and our experience on the sunset horseback ride. I hadn’t ridden a horse before, but the horses were super gentle and responsive. The cowboys were extremely helpful and kept a close eye on us. I felt safe and comfortable. I was hesitant because of the cost, but it was worth every penny and I can’t wait to do it again.
