Tour Details - Duration: 1 hour - Vehicle: 4x4 Jeep - Guide/Driver: Experienced local driver The trip will start forty minutes before sunrise, after your reservation we will send you the right time. After you arrive to the middle of the dunes you will walk for 10 minutes to the top of the high dunes, you will set to watch the sunrise take pictures, then driver back to the starting point. Note: if you are more than 5 people then make two reservations like that you will have two vehicles.

The sunrise walking trek, booked at the very last minute, turned out to be the absolute highlight of our Morocco trip. Ahmed was an incredible guide - enormously knowledgeable and endlessly fascinating. We were there with our 13 year old and I would recommend this trip wholeheartedly. In fact, I would urge you to do it. We will never forget watching the sun rise over the Sahara and are so grateful to Ahmed for the amazing gift he gave us in making it possible. We will be back!

Ahmed is a really kind and genuine person. We had great conversations about life in general and he shared with us a lot about his culture and told us about what it is like to live in Merzouga. If you like walking and want to see the desert in a way you are supposed to do it (most of the tourist will go by quad which disturbs the locals and nature this early in the morning) I recommend you to book with Ahmed.
