Description

We are 100% Alaskan owned & operated - Our focus is on giving you an amazing experience in Skagway on your trip to The Yukon and British Columbia. Unlike the other attractions in Skagway, we stop along the way and explain what you are looking at and its history to Skagway, Alaska, and the Yukon. Along the way, we'll see plenty of valleys, rivers, waterfalls, and Alaskan wildlife. The tour will continue up the Klondike Highway to a remote sled dog camp in the Canadian tundra, where you'll get to play with sled dog puppies & meet their trainers & handlers. You won't be rushed or limited to play time here! Our "Yukon Husky Puppy Playtime" and "Summer Sled Dog Remote Yukon Camp" tours offer nearly identical experiences, with the only difference being that the Summer Sled Dog tour includes an exciting ride on a summer sled dog cart pulled by our huskies, while the Yukon Husky Puppy Playtime tour does not feature the cart ride.

Grace is awesome, the sled dog camp, not so much.

Grace, our travel guide, was AMAZING. She did a great job as a tour guide. I felt safe with her driving, and loved her stories about her adventures in Alaska, and her dog, Gail. However, I would give the sled dog camp one star. It felt like they wanted our money, but did NOT want us to pick up the puppies. Super unfriendly, watching us like hawks, and my family felt barked at during our time with them, and were scared to hold the puppies. The rules for holding the puppies were not posted in a clear area, and “the rules” were confusing. I have visited two other sled dog camps in Alaska prior to this one, and the employees were MUCH friendlier. For a wonderful sled dog experience, I’d recommend “Happy Trails,” owned by Martin Buser, a four time Iditarod champion. The camp appeared run down, and I felt bad for the dogs. There wasn’t enough seats for the informational talk, and we had to cram in for that part. The sled dog ATV tour was fun. All in all, Grace = 5 stars, the dog camp=1 star at best.

This excursion was much more than I had anticipated! Our guide Drake was very informative and was great with timing and he made sure everybody had an opportunity to get good pictures. The coach was comfortable. The sled dog farm was a tail wagging fun adventure. Even with heavy fog we saw an eagle, several tall waterfalls, and a couple of Dahl sheep. 10/10. - Arkansas Travelers

It was a great experience. Our tour guide was amazing and knew many things about Alaska/Skagway. He made stops along the way so we could enjoy the views and offered to take family photos. He gave us a lot of history about Skagway but also some personal experiences he has had, which we enjoyed. The sled dog camp was a lot of fun. My kids got to hold puppies and we enjoyed the musher experience!

Beautiful views on the way to dog camp. Travel guide was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The dogs were great and fun way to experience without being in the snow. Wish we would’ve had more time with the dogs and puppies. But overall a great experience

Amazing

Friday 6/12/26 A wonderful experience with Trey. The tour itself is well worth the price, but Trey made the experience one of the best. Very knowledgeable about Alaska, humorous and very entertaining. Also extremely safe driver. Playing with the puppies was great and the dog sled ride made some great memories. If we make our way back to Skagway - would book again. 100% recommend be sure to ask for Trey!

This is the second year...

This is the second year we’ve done this same excursion and it never disappoints. Our driver (Jake? Jacob? Sorry dude I forgot) had a lot of great info, and mediocre jokes (just kidding. He was pretty funny). Everyone at the mushers camp was very knowledgable and clearly love what they do. They care a great deal for those dogs and it shows.
