Itinerary
You will meet our guide here, down the big arch, that represents one of the three old main entrances of the city
This church is important for its façade: convex in the lower part and concave in the upper part
The peculiarity of this square is that it's closed, with only one entrance. Inside you can admire the wonderful façade of old bishopric. In the night you will enjoy the special atmosphere coming from the lighting on buildings
Porta Napoli is the second entrance to old town together with Porta San Biagio and Porta Rudiae. It takes this name because from this point begins the route to get to Naples
Together with Santa Croce basilaca that stands by its side, they are the emblem of local Barocco style: facades full of minute decorations to resemble a thick embroidered sheet
While discovering the main highlights of Lecce in old town, you will also anjoy the most famous samples of local specialties, like rustico, a saldy puff pastry snack, pasticciotto, emblem of local pastries and frisella, typical fast food of summer light lunch and dinner

Antonella showed us the beautiful highlights of Lecce during the tour. We enjoyed the snacks, and the extensive general and specific knowledge of Antonella about the city of Lecce and everyday life in Italy. Good to know is that in order to see the various churches inside, a separate entrance ticket is required. We enjoyed it!
Our guide brought Lecce to life! The big pieces of history, along with the smaller details that one would miss - even with the best guide book. I found I looked at Lecce with a more educated and thoughtful eye after our tour. So very interesting and a human connection.
Great tour to get acclimated to the city! Antonella was very passionate and knowledgeable about the city. She gave historical facts and stories about each place we stopped! The food stops were also a wonderful way to explore the food scene of Lecce. Grazie Antonella, this tour is highly recommended!
Antonella was a very informative guide and we really enjoyed the morning tour around Lecce. She helped us appreciate the beauty of Lecce, especially areas we would have missed without a guide.
This was the best experience I have had on a food tour. It was informative, inspiring and inclusive. My daughter and I enjoyed Antonella and her unbeatable knowledge of Lecce and trading stories. Highly recommend this tour and you will not be disappointed. One of the best experiences we had on our week-long tour of Pulia! Corey and Kelly
We had a terrific visit in Lecce with Antonella. Lecce is a fascinating city and she brought its history to life. Along the way we are a variety of food, it was more than enough for a meal. I was too busy eating the food to photograph it, but included a few shots from our walk. You will appreciate so much more about the history of Puglia but experiencing this tour.
We stayed in Lecce for 3 days late December 2021 and booked a walking food tour with Antonela; the tour was exceptional and the Guide Antonela was an amiable lady with great knowledge of city’s history. We walked the beautifully decorated city streets and enjoyed the festive atmosphere and great local food. It was a winning combination of history and culinary experience and I recommend the tour to anyone staying in Lecce for the first time and eager to learn about culture and food.
Our first food and walking tour, what a great idea! Angela(American) did a great job of bringing the city alive from its very long and interesting history. Taking a break every 40-45 minutes was appreciated. Great time to relax and ask questions.
It was a great experience. The guide was very knowledgeable of the city. It was a perfect start of the trip as she covered most points of interests around the city. The snacks were great specially the rusticò.
