Luciano greeted us on time and took us to several restaurants and open markets where we were able to try many different foods: typical sanguches, empanadas de pino & queso, jugos de frambuesa & maracuya, and chorrillana. He took us to places where you pretty much only see local chilenos, and those are always the best places. Luciano even helped us find some sweets and souvenirs to take home. During the tour, he pointed out places of interest, shared Chilean history, and took an interest in getting to know us. He also made sure that we knew exactly how to get back to our place. We would highly recommend this tour!
David is an outstanding guide. He took care of everything, he was super helpful and responsive. Do not eat before you go on this tour. The food was excellent and the portions were enormous We loved this tour. I cannot recommend it enough.
Would highly recommend this experience on your first day in Santiago! It allowed us to see parts of Chile from a local and experience his best recommendations in food!
We mostly stayed in the downtown area, where it's helpful to have a guide who knows their way around so that you don't have to have your phone in your hand as a map. Our biggest issue was how dramatically political our guide was - she was fairly negative about basically everything ("there's really not much to see in Santiago," etc.). She is a university student who is in the stage of life where one thinks they know *everything* but has yet to experience much of the real world. We found the level of vitriol she had about our home country highly unnecessary - regardless of our own political feelings, we don't really need to hear about it from our guide while we are on vacation with our kids. The foods we tried were fine, not great. It wasn't until much later in our trip that I learned how delicious Chilean bread is - I wish I had known that sooner!
This is everything! From food to politics to history- David takes you on a Santiago ride you won’t forget. It’s one of the best tours I’ve ever taken.
What a wonderful experience of the flavors of Chile by our guide, David! He was so kind and smart and full of knowledge and personable as well. And we certainly were filled with food at the end of our tour. Highly recommend!
Great stops across the city and David was a fun guide. We went to restaurants and drink stands and even a candy store.
David was fantastic, he was early and what out of his way to ensure I had a culturally grounded experience. We walked over 12k steps around Santiago and earned every bit of tasty food. David has a passion for his services, and speaks great English and Spanish. Highly recommended.
This was a wonderful experience! We enjoyed each food stop especially the empanadas. Our guide David took incredible care of us.
