Itinerary
The Forth Bridge is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site that joins the historic settlements of North and South Queensferry. The oldest bridge dates back to 1890 and is an iconic symbol of Scotland's 19th century bold engineering.
Visit the Old Course and take a picture at the iconic Swilcan Bridge. Visit the ruins of the 12th century cathedral and explore the many shops and cafes of this quaint town, including the iconic Janetta's Gelateria, with over 5 generations and 115 years of history!
Lindores Distillery is known as the "Spiritual Home of Scotch Whisky". The Abbey dates back to 1191, and was visited by various monarchs and historical figures, such as David II, Edward I of England, Robert the Bruce, and Scotland’s national hero William Wallace. The first documented reference to whisky making at the Abbey dates from 1494 - over half a millennium ago! You can take an optional tour and whisky tasting at the Distillery. We will need to book the 12:30 slot, which is the only one that fits within our schedule.
With over 1000 years of history, Stirling Castle is one of Scotland's most important historical sites, and its history features some of Scotland's most iconic characters, such as William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. This incredible castle was once the favoured residence of the Stewart kings and queens. After extensive restortion, the castle offers a unique experience with characters in period costume, as bodyguards, court officials and servants, who will tell you information about some of the main rooms you will visit, bringing the 16th century alive! There are also regular free tours by the knowledgeable castle guides departing regularly from the gate.
We will drive by the famous Kelpies, the tallest horse statues in the world.
