Bypassing MiniHollywood (or Driving past MiniHollywood), we'll arrive at the designated esplanade marked by the red pin. Welcome and Introduction Welcome to your meeting point! Our friendly guide will be waiting to greet you, easily recognizable by their soft red light. This light is specially chosen to preserve your night vision as we begin our adventure. We'll start with a brief introduction to the magical world of stargazing. You'll learn about the area's incredibly dark skies, which make it a premier location for viewing the cosmos. But the stars aren't the only legends here. We'll also share the captivating story of the Western movies filmed in these very surroundings.
Walk to the Viewing Point From the meeting point, we will walk for 5 minutes. During this short walk, your guide will provide a brief explanation about the Sierra Alhamilla Natural Area until we reach our observation point.
Discover the beauty of the stars in the Tabernas desert, far away from the light pollution of the city. Look up in wonder at the night sky and contemplate the marvels of the universe through our powerful telescopes. Accompanied by a certified guide, you'll embark on a fascinating journey through space. You will learn to identify the main constellations visible on the night of your visit. If the Moon is out, you'll be able to observe its craters in detail and understand how they formed over time. The activity also includes the principles of positional astronomy, which will teach you how to orient yourself in the night sky. Through the telescope, you will explore deep-sky objects such as open clusters, globular clusters, and binary stars.

A magical and enriching experience in knowledge of the universe; we will repeat it because no day and no night are the same. Seeing the craters of the Moon from another crater on Earth... and Gonzo, a wonderful speaker, captivates you when you listen to him, and we were left wanting to continue hearing his stories.

My partner wanted to spend an evening connecting with the cosmos for her birthday. What a beautiful experience. Gonzalo is passionate about astronomy and astrology and is fascinating to listen to. In addition, he has some accessories that will enchant the night. Of course, a telescope, a laser to show us the stars and planets in the sky, and a magic board to draw the constellations. The stargazing activity was just amazing!! Meeting in the Tabernas desert was an incredible experience. It was a full moon so I wondered how much we were going to see, but Gonzo put everything in a new light so to speak. The moon was stunning and Gonzo brought the stars to life. His passion for astronomy is inspiring and he is just a genuine person which comes through in all the knowledge he shares about the stars and the desert. We can't recommend this activity enough!
Very recommended. He explained a lot of things in a very engaging way for both adults and children, answered questions, and adapted wonderfully to the weather with alternatives (he warned us in advance about the weather in case we preferred to change the night). He maintained a limited capacity to make good use of the time, which not everyone does, and it shows. One of the best experiences I have ever had!
