Firstly, massive thank you to Jacqueline from Barefoot Adventures for her excellent communication from the moment of booking to confirming exact time of pick up from our hotel. The rain forest main entrance is set up well. You show your booking, then given tickets to give to the guides. There's lots going on from the tram ride to zip lining, though we had booked the hiking. There are clean, well kept toilets. A lovely cafe and gift shop at the entrance point. Our guide Joel took us with 3 other hikers. Joel is incredibly knowledgeable, explaining so much about the forest, plantlife, trees, critters and animals. It was fascinating. The hike took about 2.5 to 3 hours (including a break at the top of the tram station), I didn't clock the time exactly. Its a moderate level hike with inclines, declines, and varying terrain. There were handrails and steps at points, though I recommend a hiking stick as that's particularly useful on the way back down. If you have a dodgy knee give this one a miss. And it's a rain forest so expect high humidity. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Joel was great, the rain forest is beautiful, the hike is mainly under the cover of the trees so it was nice not having the beating sun on us. Our hiking group were lovely and a pleasure to share this experience with. Recommend this for those of you who like walking and have a decent level of fitness.

This is a well marked trail, in good condition. It follows a figure of 8 route, with just a couple of viewing points. Otherwise hemmed in by trees.Get there on the road through Ti Rocher. The more approach on the more northerly road through Latille and Anse is useless as there is a missing bridge at Mahaut.

My wife and I took this walk while vacationing in St Lucia and enjoyed the trail and beautiful foliage. We saw plenty of birds including lots of hummingbirds at the visitor center where there is a small snack bar with food. There is also zip lining here which we didn't partake in. The rain forrest walk lasts about 1:45 minutes and allows you to see an interesting waterfall.
This is great! Many people don't take time to walk through this beautiful forest and we are happy you enjoyed it. We do hope to see you in St Lucia in the future.

The walk is great with very knowledgeable guides. The only difficulty for me was that I found it hard to do the climbing of the stairs because of my COPD. Both the guide and my fellow walkers were very supportive - I felt like I was holding everyone up but they said no.

Part of the Aerial Tram and Zipline set up. Well organised, and our knowledgable guide Terry told us a lot about the Rainforest. The walk took about 3 hours in total and altogether climbs about 800 feet. Consequently there are quite a lot of fairly steep stepped sections, so a bit more strenuous than we were expecting. However there is no forcing of the pace and there were frequent stops.

We had a really informative guide but the walk was quite steep in places and although my husband and I were able to manage it, a few people had to drop out half way. Perhaps it should have been made clearer in the information that the walk was quite strenuous.

Well this tour was cancelled due to a lack of participants.A representative was sent to our hotel room with this itenerary to inform us of the cancellation and even offered to replace this activity with another. We ended up doing the rainforest tour with the tram ride for an extra $50 pp. It was AWSOME! The sounds and sights of the rainforest is best experienced in person. Although all we say were trees and occasional flowers, I enjoyed the trip. The tram ride was an added plus. Although after the tram ride when the guide took us on a 10 minute 'hike' around the rainforest, she rushed the whole thing. I would recommend the tram ride through the rainforest.

Very interesting. An easy hike even though it was raining. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Good day out. Learnt lots of new information about rain forests. Guide very knowledgeable.
