Absolutely loved Tyra a.k.a. “Tyler or T”, on this walk. She was knowledgeable and passionate about everything she told us - from being a ‘townie’ or ‘come from away’, downtown culture, NL sayings and sense of humour, important buildings, jelly bean row, important people, musicians and politics. We felt she was so generous to us with her kindness, time and knowledge. Recommendations: good shoes as 2.5 hours even though relatively short walking distance, feet can be tired. Water. Tyra was very mindful of our needs during the tour re walking, stairs, shade, etc. Thanks for a job well done Tyra!
What a thoughtful, detailed review! Tyra really does pour her heart into every tour, and it sounds like it came through. Thanks so much for this lovely write-up.
Sam did a wonderful job guiding us around the downtown area of St. Johns. Such a beautiful place! Sam is a local guide who grew up in the area, and is a wealth of knowledge about Newfoundland history. She even sang a few traditional songs for us! We enjoyed listening to her stories and information about such a wonderful place. We had a great time!
Sam really is something special! We're so glad she made downtown St. John's come alive for you, songs and all. Thanks for the wonderful review, it means the world to our team!
She was very knowledgeable, bubbly personality which added to whole experience. Made sure everyone was following & she was heard, but towards end of tour that did not happen. So unsure of what she said. Providrd suggestions. Overall would recommend to anyone.
So glad Sam's energy and knowledge made the tour shine. Thanks for the feedback and we'll pass it on to the team.
Excellent History of St John's and cultural events that happen in the summer. Not to many stairs to climb and it does take the 2.5 hrs to complete
So glad the history and culture of St. John's came through! We always want people to leave with a real feel for this place.

It's a multi-faceted tour, with art, history, architecture, military, etc. Our pleasant and informative tour guide, Sam, even sang a few songs which added a nice personal touch - plus she had a nice singing voice. Note that the tour is very hilly but was doable It was a highlight of our visit.
Thanks for taking a walk with us and for leaving such nice comments.
