Albert was out guide and he was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and was more than happy to answer any questions we had. If you’re doing this tour you should request Albert.
Thank you very much but I think you had another company's tour, as we don't have an Albert and don't do Bonaventure. It may have been one of ghosts who led you around...they do that sometimes!
A great tour with Hot Rod Rick!
We're so glad you enjoyed the tour and will be sure to let Rick know!
This is named the spooky Savannah haunted history tour but our tour guide, Hot Rod Rick, provided subpar stories that typically were cut short to discuss what he THOUGHT happened, or to tell things he had heard. He told us that it was more of a history tour than a spooky one, which is not the description that is presented when booked. We did a spooky bar crawl and they ended up telling us about the same place that we visited last on this tour and the stories were very different. The length and detail in the stories were also varied incredibly. I asked our guide for the bar crawl about the records said that theirs are backed by actual reports and are considered completely factual. He ended our tour by telling us a vulgar person story that had no relevance to what we were talking about and left us all uncomfortable. At some point someone in our group told us that they looked at his id badge and it said his license was expired. I’m not one to ever leave a negative review but this experience was incredibly disappointing.
Thank you for your feedback. We'll investigate the reason your experience was so different from others on Rick's tour. Savannah is again extremely late in updating badges and has advised us to continue using our 2025 badges until we receive the updated ones, but thank you very much for your concern.
We decided to do this tour because it offered an option during the day. We were warned that some of the ghost tours elaborate the truth and are more about theatrics. I liked that this was considered a historic, ghost tour. Maddy was our guide, and she did a great job. She was enthusiastic with her story telling. She shared historical information on Savannah, and threw in the ghost stories that went along with the different locations on the walking tour. Some of the content of the stories was not PG, but Maddy did a great job making it kid friendly. I would recommend this walking tour to anyone. It was a great way to see the city, learn about the history and haunted locations in historic Savannah.
Thanks so much Bradley, you described Maddy Marrow's tour perfectly!
Super interesting! Our guide was great! She was animated and engaging! We will do it again next time we are back. Definitely recommend
Thank you! Maddy Marrow knows her thrills!

Great walking tour. Guide was on time, full of knowledge, engaged with the entire group and kept us laughing the entire time
So glad you enjoyed Hot Rod Rick's spooky tales and dad jokes!
Hot Rod Rick was a great tour guide…learned so much history about the city not just cheesy ghost stories. Highly recommend!
Thanks so much we'll let Hot Rod Rick know you had a great time!!
We, along with some friends from out of town, booked the “Spooky Haunted History Tour” recently. Hot Rod Rick was our guide. Nice guy and very personable, but the tour itself was average at best. We did learn some interesting history facts but the “spooky” part didn’t really materialize until more than halfway through the tour when another guest actually asked about ghosts (and their stories) at the first house we actually got close to. Our guide did a lot of pointing in the direction of other houses and buildings from afar. Can’t complain too much as it was a lovely crisp fall evening and the price of the tour wasn’t outlandish. However, it really could have been so much better…and spookier. Take it from someone who’s lived in both St. Augustine, Fla., and Charleston, S.C.—both towns full of history, ghost stories and quality tours.
Thanks for your review. As stated in our description, this is a haunted history tour and it appeals to those who are interested in family fun, ghost stories, and Savannah's rich and fascinating history. We have other tours that do not concentrate on the history as much, and if you are into jump scares there are tours for that as well. Please be aware that a haunted history tour is different from a haunted pub crawl, and both are different from a pure ghost tour. If you want to be frightened by jump scares, a ghost tour is not the venue for that. You may be thinking of a haunted house or haunted trail. This is why it is important to read the description.
