Split Game of Thrones Tour & History Walk Top-Rated All inclusive

Description
Join us for a walk through history as we explore the center of Split, a 1700year-old city and ancient Roman city-palace protected by UNESCO. We will stroll not only through the old town, the Palace and its cellars but also through 2000 years of history filled with both educational and amusing, as well as bizarre situations. Meereen, the place where Daenerys spent three seasons, where scenes of the fight between slaves and masters (the "kill the masters" scene) were filmed, battles of Grey Worm and the Unsullied against the Sons of the Harpy, the death of Ser Barristan Selmy who saved Grey Worm, the dragons that Daenerys chained and later fed to the evil masters. Who was Emperor Diocletian, the greatest persecutor of Christians, and why did he vomit after dinner? How much did the Venetians pay for Split? Why does a headless Sphinx guard the entrance to Jupiter’s temple? We will show you what we eat and where to find the best food and local wine - Dalmatian specialties!

Itinerary
The main entrance to Diocletian's Palace with beautiful niches once adorned with statues of Roman emperors and inside with a built-in mechanism of double doors known as the "human mousetrap."
The main square of the palace, the site where Diocletian's mausoleum is located—today the Cathedral of St. Domnius—as well as a 3,500-year-old sphinx that poses a riddle.
Here we will watch a video of the Unsullied battling the Sons of the Harpy, and an a cappella group will sing Dalmatian songs live for us.
Once the temple of the main Roman god Jupiter, now the baptistery of St. John, at its entrance, guards a 3500-year-old headless sphinx.
In the dark dungeons, Daenerys Targaryen kept her dragons chained, their control slipping away. It was there that slaves hid while plotting their rebellion to break free from their masters' oppression.
GAME OF THRONES Museum Split will give fans around the world an opportunity to step inside Meereen and world of GOT. Inspired by and filled with the breathtaking images and enthralling artifacts from the hit HBO series GAME OF THRONES, this Museum will drop fans into the center of the Seven Kingdoms for an up-close and personal look at authentic props, costumes, real size figures, weapons, city dioramas, set and more...
Take a free photo on the Iron Throne as a part of a tour and get yourself an original souvenir from a trip to Essos, Meereen - Split.
Meereen is no longer a safe place for slave masters; dangerous messages in blood are appearing on the walls, and here a master will encounter the wrath of the rebellious slaves.
We conclude the tour by the sea, where you will receive instructions on what to see for the remainder of your journey in Split and Dalmatia, where to eat, which beach to visit, how to spend quality time affordably.

Really nice tour combining background info about the game of thrones scenes that were filmed in split with historical facts about the city of split. I can highly recommend
This was a small group tour and it was very informative. Our tour guide, Marin, was very friendly and as he was a local to Split was able to provide us with some good suggestions. We really enjoyed the use of an iPad to show movie GOT scenes while standing in various rooms.
Marco told some good tales, a blend of history and GOT. Getting pictures of the scenes in the real spot was a great feature.
Excellent informative tour with an engaging and funny guide in Marin. The tour covered both the architecture and history of the palace and Old town as well as really covering the GOT connections well. Loads on interesting insights.
Educational, engaging, ideal in hot weather, a wonderful experience!!!
We had a great time with Natasha, a local with great historical knowledge who was an extra on GoT. She had a vast knowledge of the Dioclesian Palace with cool GoT stories and videos. The day was hot but Natasha was lovely.
Our guide Markos was amazing! He taught us so much about the city, history, and architecture of Split. The game of thrones component with videos was so fun. You are able to stand right where the filming for major scenes was conducted. I have been on numerous historical tours like this in other cities, but this one is by far my favorite city tour I have taken. Absolutely worth it!
Great tour for GOT fans, Marko was knowledgeable and gave a good mix of GOT and real history on the tour.
We had a fantastic time. The tour was exciting, informative, and very entertaining. Our guide brought the history of Split to life and explained the Game of Thrones filming locations in an interesting and vivid way. You can immediately tell how much passion and knowledge is behind it. For fans of the series, but also for anyone who wants to learn more about Split and its history, this tour is a real highlight. Clear 5 stars from us – absolutely recommendable!
Despite not being a fan, my husband is, I found it a nice experience. Partly due to Marco's enthusiasm
