Pick-up from Chennai Your tour includes a convenient pick-up from your hotel, airport, or railway station in Chennai. Our driver and guide will meet you on time for a smooth and comfortable start to your day. Note: The tour is expected to begin between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM (approximately).
Kapaleeshwarar Temple – Mylapore Your tour begins with a visit to the famous Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore. This 7th-century temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its tall and colorful gopuram (tower) covered with beautiful carvings. Feel the spiritual atmosphere as you explore the temple complex and watch devotees in prayer.
Mylapore Heritage Walk and Filter Coffee Next, take a short walk through the traditional Brahmin streets called Agraharam. Here you will see old houses, small shrines, and locals going about their daily rituals. Enjoy a cup of authentic South Indian filter coffee prepared by the Brahmins, giving you a taste of true Chennai hospitality.
Pattinapakkam Fish Market Continue to one of Chennai’s busiest fish markets. Watch local fishermen and women selling freshly caught fish. The market is full of life, sounds, and colours, offering you a real look into Chennai’s daily life.
Marina Beach Drive Drive along Marina Beach, India’s longest urban beach. See people walking, children playing, and vendors selling snacks by the shore. You can also spot horseback rides along the sand, adding to the lively scene of this famous beach.
Santhome Cathedral Basilica Visit the beautiful Santhome Church, built over the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle. This white Gothic-style church has colourful stained-glass windows and a peaceful atmosphere, reflecting Chennai’s colonial and Christian heritage.
Government Museum End your tour with a visit to the Government Museum. This museum is one of the oldest in India and has a rich collection of art, archaeology, and natural history. It is a great place to learn more about South India’s culture and heritage.
Photo Stops During your tour, you will pass by and can stop for photos at some of Chennai’s famous landmarks. You will see the red-brick Chennai Central Railway Station, the historic Fort St. George and Secretariat, and the beautiful neoclassical Ripon Building. You can also take photos at the busy Parry’s Corner Market, the Victory War Memorial near Marina Beach, the Royapuram Bridge with its city views, and the colourful streets of Broadway. Each spot shows a different side of Chennai, from its colonial past to its lively present.

This was an OK tour … hindered slightly by the language … when you advertise an English speaking guide .. we struggled to understand a lot of what the guide was telling us. Also we were picked up at 10.30am for an advertised 6 hour tour … before we even started he asked if it was OK to drop us back at 1.30pm to which we said no & stated the 6 hour time frame. (We were dropped back at 3) . Also as we did not want to go on the shopping section of the tour … we asked if they could take us to a supermarket to purchase some water & soft drinks & we were still taken to the clothes shop?! Luckily a little shop nearby had what we needed. Our guide then left us completely with the driver at the shops for him to take us back to the hotel. I’ve been on better tours …….

We regret the misunderstanding regarding your request for a supermarket visit and will ensure clearer communication in the future. The guide stepping away at the end of the tour is not our usual service standard, and we will address this with the team. Overall a good half day out. Driver was prompt and took us around well. Guide was extremely knowledgable both on the journey pointing out places of interest and at the visit sites. Some sites were great, particularly the temple and the market we were taking to, but wouldn’t recommend the fish market or the fort to include.

Good trip. Very informative! Akil was a good guide & Mr Selvam was a safe driver. Saw some of the sights of Chennai & happy with the length of the trip. Advise to take trip early in the day as it gets very hot around lunchtime.

Was a good tour of parts of Chennai. Very handy to be picked up from airport and dropped off at accommodation. Guide was friendly and informative and driver and car were good also .

The booking process was seamless. Our guide and driver was on time. Our guide Akil was a pleasent and knowledgable man. Gave us sufficient time to take pictures and never rushed. Always made sure we were fine during our tour.
