the Nepali Mandir ( kama Temple ) or, Kanthwala Mandir and Mini Khajuraho (Kanthwala in Hindi means wooden), is one of the oldest and most famous temples in the holy city of Varanasi. The mandir is made of terracotta, stone, and wood and took three decades to complete. The wood is termite-proof. It is surrounded by tamarind and ficus religiosa (peepal) trees. Manikarnika Ghat is one of the holiest cremation grounds among the sacred riverfronts, located on the Ganges, According to Hindu mythology, Manikarnika Ghat is believed to be the place where either the earring or eye of Sati fell down when Lord Shiva was carrying her to the Himalaya. in the city of Varanasi. Every day around 350 bodies are burnt in Manikarnika ghat and sometimes it goes up to 600 also. For everybody burnt here, it is believed that Mahadeva personally initiates everyone into the Taraka mantra and liberates them. The bodies are burned on piles of wood for several hours and then their ashes are scattered upon the Ganges. There are no Indian women allowed here... only men. If you are looking for spotting cremations, the best time to visit is between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Every day, more than 300 bodies are cremated in this ghat.

Trails

Went for a trail with Jain in 2020 and believe me I would have missed alot had i not! He knows the soul of Varanasi beyond just the history!

Spritual trip

It was my first experience to walk in holy city of India. I didn't know which step to take my tour to start at that time I come across with Jain Prasad he was such a fantastic person he cordial welcome made us so special.Me and my friends were enjoyed city viewing with the assistance of jain bro he explained each and everything devotional and historical basis too and he made us to eat Varanasi spl street food he made us feel in our city at last we saw Varanasi in very beautiful manner with the assistance of jain Prasad bro..i cordially recommended him those who want to experience spiritual tour with proper info....#love Varanasi...#spritual trip.....

Great adventure

It was an amazing experience. We learnt a lot about Indian history and our guide, Jain is very great, he knows a lot and he explained us everything very good. We spent a wonderful with him. He is very kind and funny.
