I deliberately chose Tourline for my trip to Spinalonga because I had already taken the Enterprise on a great trip to Western Crete last year. As it happens, I also had Ranja as my guide this year, which I was very happy about. She knows how to describe her island and the sights in a lively, vivid and interesting way. The food on the boat was not a highlight now, it was also very crowded, as well as on Spinalonga. But we are tourists and we want to see all these highlights, so I accept that. There was also plenty of time for me to design freely - on the one hand in a bay for bathing and on the other hand also in Agio Nicolaos.
We were picked up a bit late and the whole program got delayed with about 1h, but the whole program was interesting at a correct price. The food from the boat was good enough, although we got some communication problem regarding the chicken menu. The guide, Mary, is very old and we could hardly listen to what she said for the whole day. I recommend this trip
Dear guest, Thank you for your feedback and for recommending the trip. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the program and found it interesting and fairly priced. We are sorry for the initial delay and for the misunderstanding regarding the chicken menu on the boat. We also appreciate your comment about our guide Mary. She is very experienced, but we understand that it may sometimes be difficult to follow explanations throughout a long day. Your feedback is valuable and will be shared with our team. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope you enjoyed discovering this beautiful area of Crete. Kind regards, Tourline Team
In itself it was a really nice tour, but it often had the character of mass handling. The bay of Kolokitha was also very nice, due to 5 boats and the corresponding number of people very crowded and full - probably cannot be avoided and the organizers are not to blame here. One should only be aware of this. The highlight of the tour was Spinalonga. We were given the opportunity to join a guided tour or to explore the island ourselves after a short briefing and with a historical background. The history and the place itself are very interesting. Also, you should be aware that you are traveling a lot in the bus to not only get to the places, but also to collect the tour participants, but also that is actually the standard- but wanted to be mentioned here again. For those who are very interested in a beautiful part of Crete East and can cope with crowds and clocked schedule, this tour is recommended. If you like it quieter, you should avoid a safari or your own exploration with a rental car.
Efficiently run. The tour guides were excellent. And the barbecue made for us on the beach was very good. The cost of food and drink and ice creams on the boat was very reasonable. I would strongly recommend and it’s not as expensive booking direct rather than through your travel company. All places visited were thoroughly worthwhile.
Enjoyed our stops. Found more time was spent on the bus than expected. We came from Heraklion do lots of pick ups and drop offs Ended up 8am -8pm. We did enjoy our activities and it was well orchestrated. Lunch …the pork chop was very yummy. I liked the time we had at the beach to walk or swim Spinalongo was cool place. Would have like for more details from the tour guide and more time here. The stop at Agia Nikolas was fine
From the gum chewing tourguide, to the rocky beach and wrong information we were very dissapointed about our trip. The “BBQ” that was supposed to give us the option between steak and chicken was very poorly managed. We got pork instead, when we asked for chicken they told us that we needed to order this beforehand. Nobody mentionzd this to us, so we just went hungry. We had high hopes, but that was our mistake.
We had booked a 4-hour tour through Getyourguide. The description said that unlimited water was included, so we didn't have much water with us. Unfortunately, it turned out that water on the boat was chargeable. We asked the tour guide about this, and the explanation was that only water during meals was free. However, we had to wait for the salad and fruit bar until two swimming stops were over. The children were hungry, so we wanted to buy sandwiches (which were on the menu). But there weren't any because the group before us had used up all the sandwiches... We had to buy a bag of chips because there was nothing left except ice cream. We also told the tour guide about this, but she said she couldn't do anything. 5 minutes later, the tour guide came and brought us (2 adults and 3 children) a bottle of water (2.5 dl). The salad and fruit buffet later was sufficient and enough for all guests, and the water was also generously served. Unfortunately, it was in thin plastic cups that blew off the boat... it's incomprehensible these days that people generate plastic waste in the sea so carelessly. We will definitely not book with Tourline again.
There weren't any leopards! Liars! I would highly consider trying another island if you are looking for leopard's! It's not fair.
Interesting trip. We were collected at 08.40 and delivered back just after 1800. I thought the day would drag but really enjoyed it. Swimming in the sea, the bbq and then to the island. We then had time to explore the capital of the island. I would recommend this trip and the guide was very informative pitching at just the right level. Thankyou
Good but not long stops only an hour snd 30 minutes at the beach it take 20 minutes to get to the sand and an hour shopping was felt so rushed which is only 30 minutes by the time you walk back to the bus then the lady said when we got back to the bus and on our way home “ sorry it was a short stop but you could have got the public-bus home if you wanted to “ spinalinga island is just a island with broken buildings and boring people got so fed up of the tour guide they all walked off
