It’s hard to put this into words. The colors of the sunset, the stillness of the salt, and then the stars above,it felt like standing inside a dream. Uyuni at night is something everyone should see once in their life.
My experience at Exploor Trip was absolutely amazing. The quality of service, knowledge and professionalism was incredible. The owner is very helpful, friendly, excellent in walks (he makes you take breaks, helps and advises you, brings oxygen tanks if necessary, which is huge), is excellent in English and speaks fluently and in a sophisticated way, attended us very well with gourmet lunches.healthy and nutritious, took beautiful tasteful photos with his professional camera, brought us friendly lamas for photos and experience. He also speaks the Inka language, which is very useful for dealing with locals. He found me the most beautiful and clean horses to ride and recommended better local experiences. It has great quality tents and can organize a night under the stars near the lake for you, which is an incredibly beautiful experience. The owner is honest and a top quality professional. He doesn’t say that, but he is the true founder and company director of Exploor Trip. They work at their best and the prices they charge are very reasonable.
I had an excellent 1 Day tour with our guide, Norbert. After stopping off at the Uyuni train cemetery and a local market, we made our way out onto the Salar de Uyuni. We had plenty of time at each stop in the Salar de Uyuni to take lots of photos. We stopped at the Salt hotel where our group enjoyed a very nice lunch provided by Uyuni experience. It was a healthy, filling lunch with a good selection of potatoes , steak, chorizo, rice and a nice salad with carrots, cucumber, lettuce and sweet corn. Norbert then drove our group out to the middle of the salt flat where we could have the best view of the Sky and the reflection of the sky in the water on the salt surface. Norbert had brought a bicycle which all our group got to use and cycle along behind the jeep, which was very fun and cool. We also at this point, got to all sit up on top of the jeep and take in the fantastic views while Norbert drove along carefully and slowly. This was such great fun. Furthermore, our guide, Norbert (a legend) advised us all on the best photos and videos to take and he very kindly helped us take these, which all of our group greatly appreciated! Finally, we watched the sun set which was beautiful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with simply incredible views at each point. Tip: bring some warm layers with you as it does get cooler later in the afternoon as the tour comes to an end.
The salt flats where incredible, its a must if you visit Uyuni or Bolivia. I was disappointed with Viator though, they advertised this tour as English speaking which it was not, luckily there was bilingual people on the tour which could translate or else I would have missed a lot of information, a part from that it was great, was impressed with the food and a nice surprise glass of wine with the sunset.
The Tour Operator never picked us up at the hotel. Per my reservation ticket my pick-up location is my hotel and the time of Pick-up was 10:30am. We waited from 10:19 to 11:30 am and no one showed up. I left an email and called the tour company. They have yet to respond. Our hotel called the tour operator as well. No response. We ended up booking another tour from a local tour company for three times the price. I have never had a tour operator not show up or contact us if there was a problem.
I did the uyuni salt tour + star night. Everything was magnificent with Uyuni Experience. A very professional, punctual team and good English language guide
