Itinerary
Our adventure begins in Piazza Tasso, the beating heart of Sorrento. Here your local guide welcomes you with insights into the city’s history and food culture before the tastings begin.
Our first tasting is a light and delicious local treat in a historic pastry shop. This sweet treat works as a perfect palate cleanser and welcome to the flavors of Sorrento.
Sit back and relax at a traditional family-run dairy and salumeria, where you’ll sample fresh cheeses, local cured meats, and a glass of regional wine—an authentic highlight of the tour.
Time for one of Sorrento’s most beloved dishes: homemade gnocchi alla Sorrentina ( and not only ! ). Served in a cozy family osteria, this stop captures the warmth of local tradition.
Step inside a historic limoncello producer to taste their original recipe, crafted since 1884, along with unique variations such as limoncello cream and melon liqueur.
Discover a historic shop celebrating Sorrento’s famous lemons. Here you’ll sample traditional lemon biscuits and candies, made with the same citrus that gives limoncello its world-renowned flavor. A light, refreshing stop that captures the sweeter side of Sorrento.
A surprise cultural stop off the beaten path: visit a tucked-away artisan workshop, a true hidden treasure of Sorrento’s tradition of craftsmanship.
We end in Piazza Lauro with a unique Sorrentine pastry and rich Neapolitan espresso, the perfect conclusion to a relaxed, authentic food adventure.

Giovanni took us on a lovely food tour around Sorrento. We loved being able to see some parts of town that we would have otherwise missed and all the samples worked so well together. Highly recommend!
Giovanni was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and picked great places to visit and enjoy the local food. Would highly recommend!
We had an amazing time with Giovanni!! He is so knowledgeable having grown up in Sorrento and showed us the best local spots for coffee, pastries (baba), meat and cheese, gnocchi, limoncello and more. We also got to see and hear about some important historical sites, which was a wonderful added bonus! We will be using him again when we return to Sorrento.
This tour was absolutely amazing! We had a great time exploring Sorrento and Giovanni was the best guide. He took us to a lot of hidden gems and we ate the best food and drank great wine and limoncello. He even took us to some historic places and workshops to learn more about different aspects of Sorrento. We loved every second of this tour!
Giovanni was an incredible guide and showed us so many local eats and drinks around Sorrento! Every bite we had was delicious and we were so full by end of the tour. I highly recommend booking a food tour with Giovanni if you want a fun laid back experience where you get food drinks limoncello and little bit of history!
Giovanni was a wonderful tour guide. We had a great time learning about Sorrento and stopping at multiple places throughout the city. It was great getting out of the main tourist area and enjoying some local places. We would highly recommend this food tour and Giovanni to anyone visiting Sorrento!!
This tour completely exceeded our expectations. We had a very positive experience learning about the true cuisine of Sorrento. Our guide, Loris, was exceptional, and I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in the foods of Sorrento to take this tour. There are dozens of choices out there, but you will certainly get a true local experience by taking this one.
Not sure of the value of this experience. Guide was a lovely, quiet guy. We enjoyed the foods and that his focus was locally owned and produced food. However, I'm not sure the foods we tried plus his efforts was worth the expense. 10 tastings sound like a lot, but honestly it was 2 desserts, a light charcuterie tray (1 salami, 2 cheeses, tomatoes and crackers), gnocchi, espresso and limoncello...the 2 different limoncello tastings were lovely, but free tastings were available to anyone coming into the store...leaving us feeling a bit light on the value for price paid. Added to the light stops, everything was shared between 2 people. A great idea if there are a lot of stops, maybe not for the few we had . To feel like we received value for the cost, I would have preferred an addition of a secondo small meat dish, or...fill us up at the beginning with a more hearty charcuterie (more meats and cheeses).
We had a great food tour with Giovanni as our host. He took us to places we would have never found on our own. We started out with a little sweet and then on to a deli that had all kinds of meats and cheeses. One of the cheeses was made fresh that morning. We tried different wines as well. Next on to gnocchi. They even had gluten free.for one of our party. Next was lemoncello, some sweets and we ended with espresso and cake. We did the tour at 17:30 so it was our dinner. We also got to see some historical sites while walking. We all enjoyed the tour and recommend doing it with Giovanni.
We had a lovely evening walking through Sorrento, tasting local food, savory and sweet and learning a little history of the town. Our guide, Giovanni was great fun! He talked about the tastings and gave some local perspectives on how the food was prepared. Although our group of 8 didn’t know each other, we became fast friends. Great experience!!!
