Discover the beautiful scenery from Sooke to Port Renfrew on this scenic tour of Vancouver Islands southwest coast. This tour is for the real outdoor adventure seekers. This is an action packed adventure customized to the guests requests and level of adventure. You may choose to city back in luxury and enjoy a nice scenic drive of Vancouver Islands back country and scenic coastal views, or you may choose to have the option of getting out to explore some of our sandy beaches, rocky coastlines, and old growth forests that are home to some of the worlds oldest and largest trees. On this tour we will see Sooke, French Beach, Jordan River, China Beach, Botanical Beach, Port Renfrew, and possibly Avatar Grove. Either way you will be going home happy that you took this tour, and I am sure you will fill your camera with amazing photos to share with your family and friends.

Discover the wild southwest coast of Port Renfrew.
Explore Botanical Beach with Surfside Adventure Tours. We will hike down through the forest to the the rocky coast line and watch big wave action and explore the tidal pools looking for marine life that gets trapped in these tidal pools when the tide goes out.
We will drive through the back country to one of the oldest forest on the island which is home to some 1200 plus year old trees, and home to Canada's gnarliest trees.
We will make a quick stop at the Sooke Potholes to check out his beautiful spot. Once destined to be home to a resort that never happened. The setting is a beautiful gorge with small waterfalls, and small pools along the rive Very pretty setting.
We will stop at Jordan River briefly to capture some great photos and possibly stroll the beach

Alan was very engaging and fully immersed us in the history and culture of Vancouver Island. He was able to take us to out of the way spots to see things that would have been otherwise missed.

Alan did a superb job guiding us into the beautiful back country and to the western shores of Vancouver Island. He was everything you'd want in a tour guide: knowledgeable, flexible, personable and a very safe driver. We are an older couple and weren't up to walking long distances, so Alan tailor-made the tour for us that was easy on our knees and yet encompassed all the breathtaking sights the region has to offer. We had two day tours back-to-back with Alan at SurfSide Tours and they were the highlight of our vacation! (The other tour was named "The Ultimate Group Package Tour of Victoria.") As parents, we found Alan to be friendly, conscientious, interesting, informed, and intelligent. Our kids (14 and 11 yo) describe him as fun, caring, knowledgeable, funny, happy, and a good storyteller. We lucked out with perfect weather and this tour fulfilled my daughter's lifelong dream to visit tide pools (we're from South Dakota). We spent about an hour and a half at Botanical Beach taking pictures of the waves and tiny ecosystems on the beach, but all the other stops were beautiful, too. Right when he picked us up at our hotel, Alan said he had a "surprise" for my daughter that day... and sure enough, a couple hours later, he caught a lizard at Lizard Lake that she instantly fell in love with! Alan just made everything work out so well; I can't think of anything that could have been better!

We have been to Vancouver Island before but never seen beyond Victoria. This tour was exceptional; taken all over the south west coast through to Sooke. The scenery was spectacular. Darwin made this tour personal to us and I recommend this to anyone wanting to get off the tourist trail.
