Our rigorous Sonoran Desert Jeep Tour is a low-speed, bumpy sightseeing tour of the scenic Sonoran desert via the Tonto National Forest. Your professional tour guide, who is a certified off-road driver and the only driver throughout your Jeep tour, will teach you about the Sonoran desert flora and fauna on the most scenic trails in the Scottsdale area. Vehicles used: Jeep YJ (7 seats). Scottsdale Adventure Tours is a special recreation permit-holder through the U.S. Department of Agriculture: Cave Creek Ranger District and the U.S. Department of the Interior: Bureau of Land Management. Be aware that there is an weight limit of 275 lbs per person

The trailhead is located 15 minutes northeast of the Pinnacle Peak General Store. Off-Road Jeep Adventures is a commercial permit holder through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Cave Creek Ranger District
Pinnacle Peak is a granite summit located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Reata pass is the last standing buildings of an old western stage coach station from the 1880's.

There will be no refunds issued to guests who fail to read and understand the health restrictions and requirements of this tour.
- Children under the age of 8 must be in car seats. Car Seats are not provided.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour. Tour leaves promptly.
- No Neck Problems.
- Not recommended for guests who easily get motion sickness.
- Weight limit per seat: 275 pounds. Please contact our office to make special arrangements.
- Must be physically able to climb a step ladder to enter the lifted Jeeps.
- Not recommended for passengers with any condition that can be aggravated by a bumpy off-road ride through rough terrain.
- Pregnant individuals are prohibited from participating in this high risk activity.

Went on the tour this past Wednesday as part of a work trip excursion day. It was great! Not sure what I expected but this was way more! Grace was our driver. She did an excellent job. She knows so much about the history in the area, the plants in the region, and drives very well. Would definitely do again if I'm ever in the area. It was beautiful!!

Brian “with an I” was a fantastic tour guide. He shared interesting history of the Tonto Forest public lands and Arizona fun facts. It was a highly sensory experience and watch out for all the cactus. Highly recommend !!
My husband and I had such a great time on the jeep tour. Brian was so knowledgeable about the Sonoran desert which made the tour so interesting! He made the best prickly pear lemonade and mesquite jelly for us all to try! We can't wait to return again!

Jay was EXCELLENT! We lucked out and got a private family tour with him (we didn't book private but numbers just worked out that way) and we learned so much. It was me, my husband and two girls (11 and 8). Going into it I was wondering if the cost was going to be worth it, and the tour exceeded all expectations. We learned about scottsdale, the desert, cactus plants and so much more. We also got some incredible family pics which will probably be our next holiday card. Thank you SO MUCH!
