Our Tour begins in Camí de la Escollera in front of the Cathedral of Palma at around 09:15 hrs. Palma was founded as a Roman camp upon the remains of a Talaiotic settlement. The city was subjected to several Vandal raids during the fall of the Western Roman Empire, then reconquered by the Bizantine Empire, then colonised by the Moors (who called it Medina Mayurqa) and, in the 13th century, by James I of Aragon.
Soller is a beautiful village located three kilometres from the Port on the North East coast of Mallorca and is known as the commercial and cultural centre on the Serra de Tramontana. It emerges from a valley surrounded by mountains called the ‘el valle de Los Naranjos’ (the valley of orange trees) and the beautiful, central square which is the main meeting point of the village, is surrounded by many small, cobbled streets. Upon our arrival in Sóller, the commercial and cultural center of the Sierra, we are greeted by the main square of Sóller, which is perfect for sitting on a terrace and observing the church of San Bartolomé and the Banco de Sóller building.
The Port of Sóller is a beautiful natural port located in the northwest of the island and an important center of tourist interest. A small treasure coveted in ancient times by privateers that offers us an unrepeatable landscape in which the smell of orange blossom mixes with the aroma of the sea. The port and the town of Sóller are connected by an old wooden tram that preserves all its aesthetics and original decoration and that we can admire while strolling along the lively promenade of the port.
On October 4, 1913, the first electric tram line in Mallorca was inaugurated, which ran between Sóller and Puerto de Sóller. The construction of the Sóller tram began after the inauguration of the Palma-Sóller railway line. The project for this line was designed and directed by Pedro Garau, and 4,868 meters of track were laid. The iron bridge over the Torrent Major stands out. In the beginning, the tram had a power plant located in the Sóller station that was powered by a 65-horsepower explosion engine that worked with a Siemens-Schuckert dynamo, providing a direct current of 600 volts. Although the Sóller tram was designed to transport passengers, it was also used to transport goods to the port.

Carmen was fabulous! She called the day before to confirm our meeting point. During the tour she spoke to us in 4 languages to ensure all guests received the information about the tram, train and surrounding logistics. She kept track of all passengers on a variety of tour packages.

Excellent trip only negative didn't get any tme in Pt Soller only 20 minutes pretty rushed and not enough time in Soller, was booked for a 09.30 hotel received message changing to another pick up point 10 minutes away at 08.30 spent 4 hours on the coach doing other passengers pickup, enjoyed the tour and experience Sophie and driver very good, no time for toilet breaks,returned after experience to join the coach and toilet was closed, but on a positive note well worth the experience.

We traveled as a family with an elderly person with reduced mobility. Nothing indicated that there was no access for people with reduced mobility. I strongly advise against it for strollers and it is impossible for wheelchairs. Upon your arrival, welcome to the hanger games. Getting down to Puerto Soller is complicated, but getting back up ... An hour wait on the road, trams are reserved for groups and they pass in front of you, no line to shelter people with reduced mobility from the crowd. You have a ticket, but those who do not have one can also board and pay inside (10€ one way per person). No sign in the tramway regarding the maximum number of people or kg allowed. In short, you are crammed in like cattle for a 30-minute ride. At this rate (or even less), taxis are available.

Nice train ride, the train is "vintage" , we took the train+tram ticket to Soller , the tram is also "vintage" , it is not fast, we take the remps to see the landscapes that we do not necessarily see from the road, ... A good time.

So much travel time and very little time in Soller - given 30 minutes and 10 minutes was spent getting out of the station. Very rude guide ViVi would absolutely not recommend her

So booked with Jet2 Rep at the hotel...... Firstly the views were AMAZING however, the trip itself felt disjointed, unorganized and rushed. The trip cost was €62 per person, the coach was 30 minutes late In pick up and this was taken away from the time we were able to spend in the two village stops, 10 minutes allocation for the 1st village and 30 minutes for the second village. The rep was at times rude and abrupt. The tram and train were a nice experience for sightseeing however again not enough time allocated to explore the towns. NOT WORTH €62.

It was a wonderful tour!! Good thing I asked the tour operator for details where, when and time for pick up. Otherwise we would have missed the trip. That would be a recommendation.
