Sofia City tour from Skopje
Description
If you want to explore a little further, this is one of the tours that will take you out of Macedonia, and into Bulgaria, to see and experience its capital, Sofia. Although, it’s a longer ride, we will be able to visit the most significant monuments and sites in Sofia, and enjoy in a tasteful lunch and coffee in one of the restaurants in the Central Square.

With Thracian, Roman and Medieval artefacts on display in a former mosque dating from 1496
Discovered during the building of a new metro station. Now partially excavated you can see a small section of eight streets, an early Christian church and a bathhouse from this old Roman city.

We had an excellent trip to Sofia from Skopje. Our driver picked us up right on time, was friendly, and safely drove us the three and a half hours to Sofia. We picked up our guide in Sofia and had a lovely walking tour. We saw beautiful churches, government buildings, the changing of the guards and natural spring fountains. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke excellent English. A highlight for us was a stop at a mountain monastery on the way back. I would highly recommend this day trip!
Great experience and one of the best tour guides that I have ever had. I learned many more interesting historical facts about Bulgaria and its surroundings.
While we were in Skopje, we took a chance and booked a trip to Sofia, and we did not regret it at all. We liked Sofia very much. Daniel was an excellent guide; he took us around the very interesting city attractions, from antiquity and medieval times. Vitosha Street was an excellent choice for lunch and drink. Thanks to Toni too, for being a careful driver.
