I was really disappointed with our rafting experience. When we arrived, we were put in a raft with a family who had two young children. As a result, our trip was much tamer than the other groups on the river, and it felt like we missed out on the experience we had paid for. Unfortunately, the children repeatedly hit me with their paddles. I was struck on the head twice and also had my hand hit, which made the trip uncomfortable and took away from what should have been an enjoyable activity. On top of that, our raft also had a trainee instructor, which seemed to add to the lack of organisation and overall chaos. Afterwards, we spoke to the staff in the office to explain what had happened. Rather than acknowledging our concerns or apologising, we were simply told, "That's the way it is." There was no empathy or attempt to make things right, which left us feeling like they didn't care about our experience once they had our money. I understand that rafting groups sometimes need to be mixed, but if you're pairing adults with families and young children, expectations should be managed beforehand, or there should be an option to be grouped with people looking for a similar level of adventure. There are plenty of companies offering white-water rafting, and based on both the experience itself and the dismissive attitude afterwards, I wouldn't choose this one again
Dear Fahmida, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would, however, like to clarify a few points. During the trip, when our guides noticed that the children were struggling with the paddles and accidentally hitting others, they immediately took the paddles away from the children. The rest of the rafting trip continued without them paddling to ensure everyone's comfort. We understand that not everyone enjoys sharing a raft with families and young children. Children are very welcome on our trips, and we do our best to create a fun experience for everyone—solo travellers, couples, groups of friends, and families alike. Naturally, young children cannot handle a paddle with the same coordination as adults. For guests who prefer not to share a raft with others, we also offer private rafting trips, which guarantee a separate raft and trip that is totally made as they want. We would also like to clarify what happened in our office afterwards. When you explained the situation, our first response was to sincerely apologise. We then immediately called both your guide and our manager so we could fully understand what had happened before responding further. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to explain what we had learned or discuss possible solutions. We had intended to offer either a partial refund or a discount on canyoning, as we understood you were looking for a more adventurous experience and canyoning would fit better. However, before we could do so, the conversation was interrupted by your husband, and you left the office. Shortly afterwards, we also sent you a WhatsApp message in an attempt to continue the conversation and find a solution, but unfortunately, we did not receive a reply. It felt as though you were not interested in resolving the issue with us before deciding to leave a negative review. At our company, we genuinely care about our guests' experiences and always try to find a fair solution when something doesn't go as expected. Had you mentioned before or even during the trip that you were uncomfortable sharing a raft with children, we would have happily rearranged the groups. This would have made the experience more enjoyable not only for you but also for the family sharing the raft. We were absolute beginners and a little unsure. The boat guides explained how to put on the protective gear very well in advance, despite language barriers....not everyone in the group could speak English. In my view, the tour was suitable for beginners. We experienced a special thrill....a thunderstorm with gale-force winds, lightning and thunder, rain. The boat guides acted prudently. We rowed to the shore, and the overturned boats became protective shelters for us. After the rain subsided, the tour continued. An experience that will remain in our memories as the highlight of our trip.

We have three young kids, who have been rafting before, but are not quite capable of really paddling. This was great for us! It was still whitewater with plenty of splashing, but the length and rapids were not too much. We loved the sliding and the scenery was of course beautiful. We would happily come back!
