Great driver/guide (Anthony) who was informative and entertaining. The 3 wineries were all very distinct from each other and the wines we sampled were all award winners.
Paul was such a knowledgeable and charming tour guide! His Scottish sense of humor had us all in stitches, laughing all day long. We visited three wineries as well as Golden Gate Bridge for some photos and Sonoma for lunch and Sausalito for some quick exploring. The first winery, Peter Cellars, was the best. It was small and we got to actually talk with the owner and wine maker Peter, who told us about his story and he poured us 5 of his wines. One of the Pinot Noirs and the Merlot were absolutely fantastic! I'm not a wine aficionado but I could tell these were something truly special. The only thing I would have wanted more of would be some kind of guide to tasting or more of a background on wines since I'm a novice, but I got to get a sense of the different offerings by tasting quite a few and trying to figure out which ones I liked best.
This is such a great trip! It was definitely one of our highlights while visiting San Francisco. We loved the wine tasting and the stops as part of the trip are great! Highly recommend! Our guide Katya was fantastic too.
Enjoyed the tour and met a few new friends in the process. Our tour guide was Marc and he was fantastic. Very outgoing and knowledgeable and gave us interesting information along the way. If you are in town for a short stay, this tour also checked the box by riding on the Golden Gate Bridge and pulling over for some pictures. This tour didn’t make us feel like we were on a timer and was very relaxed. Recommend and can’t go wrong with this tour.
Great and personalized tour. We had a private tour and the driver and guide gave a lot of useful information.
Mark was an awesome tour guide and was extremely welcoming and full of knowledge. He was funny and very pleasant, and we both enjoyed being with him all day. Mark made our one day in Sonoma wonderful and memorable- we will be back!!
Marc, our guide and host, was pleasant company. The visited vineyards allowed for exchanges with passionate artisans.
Anthony was our guide and he was outstanding. He selected three wineries for us to visit, providing us with a diverse range of experiences. Our first stop was at Peter Cellars, a small family owned/ operated vineyard. Then lunch and shopping in Sonoma followed by a visit to Seamus Wines, a winery that sources its grapes from across Sonoma, and finally BR Cohn, a larger operation that uses both its own grapes and grapes from across the area. At each stop, the owners (for the first two wineries) or a representative (Caleb at BR Cohn) had wines ready for us to sample. There was no pressure to buy any of the wines although I found it impossible to resist buying a few bottles. All in all, it was a lovely day trip. Anthony was a knowledgeable and considerate host: one in our group had forgotten her suntan lotion so Anthony shared his suntan lotion. Plus Anthony was a fixture on ITV and Sky in the 1980s and 1990s so it was great to hear stories about his time in front of the camera and microphone.
3 wine tastings: Peter Cellars, BR Cohn, Seámus. Educational, Humorous Tour Guide, Delicious Wine, Great Sights & Great People.
Excellent!!! I am so happy that I booked this tour for me and some friends. Antony was our driver/guide and he was truly wonderful. He took us to 3 amazing vineyards where we met amazing people and learned so much about Sonoma. I would highly recommend this tour.
