Small Group Tour to Venice departing from Abano Terme

Description
We will take you through the narrow and quiet Venetian streets between the Cannaregio district and the Ancient Jewish Ghetto, the wonderful antiques shop windows and traditional Jewish shops. We will be able to stop and drink an excellent espresso in the small coffee shop in the city that has been using the same recipe for almost a century. We can then head towards the beating heart of Venice in the San Polo and San Marco districts. We will not fail to cross the Rialto Bridge and take a tour of the Rialto Market. We will visit a "hidden place" from which to appreciate a completely exclusive view of the Grand Canal. For lunch, an ancient bacaro hides among the narrow and intricate calli of Venice where you can enjoy excellent traditional Venetian cicchetti or we recommend an alternative. We will reach Piazza San Marco, surrounded by its main buildings and we will arrive at the Bridge of Sighs. Afterwards, we will take the ferry boat to reach the rail station.

Itinerary
Walk through the Jewish Ghetto of Venice.
In Cannaregio we find the Venice Santa Lucia station and the main street, called Strada Nova, which connects the station to the Rialto area. There is also the Jewish Ghetto, an area where the Jewish community was obliged to live in the Napoleonic era. The main shopping streets are Strada Nova and Lista di Spagna, but also frequented by young people for bars or as meeting places. Do not miss the area of clubs and restaurants in Cannaregio which is located in the northern part of the sestiere, more precisely between the Jewish Ghetto and the Fondamenta Nuove. To date, the sestiere fully represents one of the places of entertainment in Venice.
The San Polo district is the smallest of the six in Venice and is much loved for the relaxed atmosphere that can be felt walking around its narrow streets; at one time, however, it was one with the Sestiere of Santa Croce. It is a very characteristic district given the rich presence of "houses and shops", or places where people live and carry out their work, as well as the variety of typical Venetian taverns that take the name of "bacari". Its name derives from the presence of Campo San Polo, the largest square after that of San Marco, and of the homonymous church in the district. Although it has always been considered a people's square, as events and public celebrations took place here, this square is surrounded by stately palaces.
he called it "the most beautiful salon in Europe". It was built in the 9th century and paved in 1177, 100 years after its construction. Piazza San Marco is the lowest area of Venice and, therefore, is the first area to be flooded with high water. The most important buildings in the square are the Basilica of San Marco, the Doge's Palace, the Correr Museum, the Campanile and the Clock Tower.
We will take the ferry boat back to the railway station.
The Rialto Bridge is the oldest of the four bridges on the Grand Canal. It is famous for both its architecture and its history. For years it was the hub of the economy of Venice. The Rialto Bridge was built between 1588 and 1591, based on a project by the architect Antonio da Ponte, to replace the previous wooden structure, which collapsed twice and burned on various occasions. The structure of the bridge is similar to the previous ones and consists of two inclined ramps joined by a portico in the center.

Nicole was incredible. He helped us with the crazy Italian trains, picked the perfect restaurant for lunch and took us on a less crowded tour route and took care of arrangements for basilica and gondolas. The tour ran long because of water bus and train delays, but Nicola made sure we got our taxis back to the hotel. He is one of the best guides.
Thank you very much for your review. We are absolutely delighted that your private tour of Venice lived up to your expectations. We hope to see you again in the future.
Venice tour for a day with family, children and grandchildren. We took the train from Montegrotto Terme to Venice, arriving at Santa Lucia station. From there we started our walk with Chiara, an exceptional guide who illustrated calluses and wrinkles, fields and canals, accompanying us to St. Mark's Square: unique in the world, truly spectacular. We had lunch in an excellent trattoria of Venetian gondoliers and bought beautiful Venetian handmade masks. What about: a day to repeat absolutely. A big thank you to the talented Chiara for making this experience unforgettable.
Grazie ancora!
I bought two packages for my parents: from Abano Terme to Venice and from Abano Terme to Verona/Lake Garda. They had a great time and were excited about the experience they spent together with their guide Nicola! Everything taken care of in every detail!
We had the most amazing tour of Venice with Nicola . He is knowledgeable , fun and very friendly. He showed us hidden sides of Venice without crowds of tourist and hidden passages with incredible views. Nicola also arranged for a delicious authentic Italian lunch..I am looking forward to 2 more tours with Lovivo and Nicola!

a trained and reliable guide. accompanied by the hotel until the return to the hotel making us discover tourist wonders and not.
A leisurely walk with a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. She went at our pace instead of sprinting, like some guides. She arranged train tickets for us and met us at the station to make it more convenient. She booked a nice restaurant ahead of time to ensure we would not have any trouble. We highly recommend Chiara as a guide.
Thank you so much, I was happy to help you taking the most out of you first visit to Venice!
I booked this tour for our international guests who wanted to do something typical and quiet off the beaten track. I must say they were thrilled. Chiara was very attentive to their needs given the heterogeneity of the group and also the fact that she knew Spanish was decisive in choosing this activity. LoVivo has been confirmed as a certainty and for my international guests I will continue to use it!
Beautiful tour accompanied by Chiara (very nice and talented) despite the large turnout of people on Fat Thursday the tour included a beautiful walk from the train station to St. Mark's Square along the most hidden and quiet streets of Venice with a stop and demonstration of jewelry creation with Murano glass and great lunch at local and then finish in St. Mark's Square and return by vaporetto.Bellissima trip, to recommend!
Chiara was wonderful! I felt as if I was walking through Venice with a friend that was sharing everything they know about the island. Chiara is knowledgable on so much of the history, the hidden parts of Venice, and the best places to get cicchetti. I would highly recommend Chiara to anyone that wants a great tour guide in Venice.
Thank you very much, we had a great day walking, chatting and experiencing the food!! You are always welcome :)
Great outing. The Guide took us to see some wonderful paintings by Tintoretto in the Church of the Garden and to follow, for “coves” and bridges not crowded by the many people who are in Venice in this period, we passed through the Ghetto, we had a great coffee in Cannareggio and we visited the workshop of a glassmaker who in front of our eyes, in about ten minutes, made a heart-shaped pendant with flowers in relief on the outside. We saw beautiful views, gondolas, the bridge of sighs and finally the beautiful Piazza San Marco. The masterful stroke was then the return by vaporetto along the Grand Canal. We have seen historical buildings like Ca Foscari, Ca d’oro, Ca Rezzonico and even the Rialto Bridge flow under our eyes with their unmistakable and wonderful styles and shapes. Overall the trip really deserves an EXCELLENT from all points of view both for the Guide (experienced and prepared) and as an organization.
Gentilissimo, siamo felici che siate stati bene in nostra compagnia! Vi aspettiamo ancora!
