great tour with nick. he knew all the ways to go to beat the traffic and get us to his sites
This is an excellent tour with foot stops at all the mojor government buildings and memorials in Washington DC. There is ample time allowed at each stop to visit and the guide explains everything in great detail. Additionally many other sights of interest are pointed out and explained along the way from the bus. The little boat ride on the Patomac is good and feels safe. Immediately prior to that there is time to buy lunch to go which can then be enjoyed on the boat. On the bus unlimited chilled water is provided and even rain ponchos if needed. The bus is spacious, comfortable and has seat belts that work. We were expertly driven by Cortez who clearly takes grsat pride in his bus and looking after his passengers. A special mention has to go to guide Samuel. What an absolute professional. He knows everything there is to know about Washington DC and its history. He is friendly, amenable and goes out of his way to make sure every guest is well looked after and happy. A brilliant tour, highly recommended.
Well planned out trip of Washington DC. Hit all of the most important monuments. There was enough time to stop and experience each site. Our tour guide Nick was amazing. Along with historical facts offered he made it a pleasant humorous adventure.
The steps at the Lincoln Memorial where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speech was held and where the crowd gathered was amazing.
Leah and Joey were amazing guides. It was a chilly day, but they worked together and made it an amazing experience. Would love to book with them again in the fall!
We hope to see you then!
Nick, our tour guide, and John, our driver were awesome! Our tour was a few days after the January 2026 snowstorm and even though a few monuments were close to inaccessible due to the ice, the guys still made it a great experience. This was our 2nd time taking a DC tour with USA guided tours, and we would definitely go again!
"You can run around and see a lot in Washington DC without seeing a thing" -Tour Guide Nick. He is exacting right! Nick delivered historical details and intriguing stories throughout the day that brought life to the national monuments. There is a plan and significance for every architectual detail. This was a highlight of our trip!...absolutely worth it!
Great experience, knowledgeable guide! Tour hit all of the most desirable places and left time for photographs.
Our tour guide was Nick! Gosh, he was amazing. He knows so much information I don’t know how he keeps it all in his head! So very informative with such tiny interesting details. His jokes are corny but still funny. Liked how he would give us all the information then let us go view the monuments and memorials on our own. Loved the small group of an open top bus. More personal. Unfortunately I don’t remember our drivers name, but she did a great job too. Always offer water and parked in the shade when possible.
Small Group Tour of DC - Open-Top or Glass-Top Luxury Bus I recently booked a tour for my husband and myself through Wyndham tours . It was a very hot day (real feel- 81 to 104) and we were very disappointed in our tour and guide, Rob. Although he was knowledgeable about history , he seemed to like to hear himself talk. There were 4 seniors (including us) and he paid no attention to the fact that it was very hot. He made us stand looking at the Vietnam war memorial for at least 20 minutes in the hot sun, and even when I asked to move on he wouldn't. He told story after story about the names on the wall, and if he had looked at his audience he would have noticed people were suffering from the heat and lack of interest. After that he took us to the Jefferson memorial and wanted everyone to climb the stairs after that long stand in the blazing sun. I asked him what we would see after that and he mentioned 3 more memorials and said "And I will continue to tell stories." in a nasty voice because I had asked to shorten the stories about the men and women inscribed on the Vietnam Memorial He also told some very inappropriate "wife" jokes that were degrading to women. I was insulted and disgusted. Another issue was that he said we would not visit the National Archives let alone the VIP access described on line. We thought that among the iconic landmarks in the description we would visit Washington Memorial, which we only saw from afar. We left the tour at that point, very unhappy with our purchase, since this was one of the most expensive tours. When you click on "itinerary" on the website, nothing shows up which leads me to believe that each guide just does their own thing. We paid over $200 for a very unsatisfactory day based on the reviews on this tour.
We were sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the tour. You should have already recieved a call from our manager. It seems the tour itinerary was off from what you experienced because you booked a different experience than you had seen online. We have already spoken to Viator to help clarify this better for future guests. Additionally, we have spoken to Rob. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
