It was truly amazing. Great service and good company. Luis is a great and knowledgeable guide. Take time for you and explains everything. I definitely recommend!!!
Luis was a super motivated and interested guide. He really gave us the freedom to explore the environment ourselves and knew a lot about the flora and fauna we encountered - including interesting fun facts such as symbiotic relationships between those organisms. :D However, he also spotted a lot of different species and shared interesting info on them. The group was small, so that he could address everyone's findings. We saw many animals from a porcupine to a two-toed sloth, different basiliks and many smaller animals. The tour showed us how much biodiversity can be found if you just look left and right on a normal trail. Luis was very positive and motiviated which gave us the feeling that he is also very enthusiastic about what he does. Truely recommendable! :)
The tour was in the general area of Tortuguero town. The meeting place is in Tortuguero town itself. Be sure if you are staying at outside of town, you have transportation to town. The tour doesn’t pick up at hotels. At water taxi is available for a fee.
We went with Warren, an expert with whom we saw all kinds of nocturnal fauna: two-toed sloths, tree frogs, armadillos and many more. It was a wonderful experience and a highly recommended activity to know the nature of Tortuguero.
Put on long trousers and depending on the weather take an umbrella with you. Binoculars aren't necessary.
Our night walk was with a group of 5 people and a guide. We enjoyed it but there were so many groups out at the same time on the same trail so it was a bit difficult to spot animals. We saw quite a few frogs, a sloth and the best part was seeing a porcupine.
We did with Daniel the rowing canoe tour and the night walk. Both experiences were amazing. We saw many animals, which without their knowledge would be impossible. You can also see that he takes great interest in his work and explains with great passion. It took us both day and night through more hidden places that showed us the wealth of flora and fauna of their country. Thank you so much for everything!!
We saw very much animals in the night walk Snakes Spiders Frogs Sloths and many other we have a buddy it was a dog that searcht some animals and it was very helpful
Warren is an amazing guide who loves what he does. So much fun to do this tour. You will see so much and learn a lot. Really recommend this tour to anyone!
Excellent wildlife tour! Our guide Warren was very skilled and helped us spot an amazing range of wildlife in the forest around Tortuguero - lots of bugs, sloths, raccoons and the highlight, a sleeping toucan!
