Itinerary
Visit to the Pena Palace terraces and Park, one of the best representations of 19th century Romanticism in Europe. Being the second-highest point in the Serra de Sintra (over 500m above sea level), it will amaze you with its unique architecture and spectacular views. King Ferdinand II - the king-artist - fell in love with Sintra, and following the purchase of the property, decided to build a unique castle and park, with 500 plant species from all corners of the world. The palace incorporates Manueline and Moorish architectural influences, that together will give you an atmosphere of “a thousand and one nights.”. An unforgettable experience (see ticket options - terraces and viewpoints or interior rooms).
In the center of Sintra you can either stay in the village, view the National Palace or walk to visit Regaleira (tickets not included). Also, a great option is to stay, and enjoy the wonders of this beautiful medieval little town, walking the narrow streets, feel the local atmosphere and then grab a coffee and try local pastry "Travesseiro".
Regaleira is a 19th century Villa, known as Palácio da Regaleira. Located in the center of Sintra, it was bought by a Portuguese businessman who was fascinated by secret orders such as Freemasonry and the Templars. Regaleira was transformed into a palace surrounded by gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic constructions, symbolic places, typical of secret societies and rituals. A unique monument influenced by Romantic, Neo-Gothic and Manueline architecture. When in Sintra you can walk to see Quinta da Regaleira (in case you wish to visit please book 11h30 slot, on the official shop: regaleira by blueticket .
Sintra National Palace is one of the most important royal palaces from the 12th century, built by the moors initially, and later further developed and expanded during different monarchs' reign. This was one of the most important political centers, during the discoveries of the 15th and 16th centuries. It has the most relevant moorish ceramic tiles collection in Portugal.
We will stop at Cabo Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. After your Sintra's visit, you will stop here to take pictures, get a bit of fresh air, and relax.
Cascais will amaze you, with its mix of a little fishing village, together with the sophistication of a place where kings and queens would spend part of their summer. Time to relax and enjoy the views
A quick view of Estoril, where kings were living and spies would come to meet during World War II. Fancy James Bond? You will know a bit of history also.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Felipe was a wonderful guide and soo much history and knowledge was given. I really appreciate him taking the time and especially since I was traveling solo. 100% recommend and Felipe is the best guide!
Alot of steep walking. Wear good support shoes. Some une en ground. Wish the vehicle was better. No air driving back to hotel
Dear Rita, thank you for your feedback - it is significant to us. It is true that visiting some of these unique gems requires some walking - the area is hilly and we cannot drive to the entrance of Unesco sites. We totally respect you do not like walking, but enjoying these special experiences is always different from our daily routine – 99% of our customers love it - you actually told us you were happy with the day. Regarding the vehicle, all our vehicles are top quality, perfect for small groups, and with AC - although we understand you were tired and it was a hot summer day. Hope to see you again - All the best
Filipe was a fantastic guide that was very fun to be with all day. He made sure to tailor the tour to our needs and answered every question we had. He took amazing photos of us and shared recommendations of where to go on our upcoming drive through the small beach towns. He was a wealth of knowledge. Spending the day with him was a joy 🤩
Filipe was an excellent tour guide. I learned so much about Portugal and the region. I highly recommend.
This was an incredible tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and I appreciated not having to figure out how to get to the four different sites myself! Make sure you purchase your own ticket for Quinta da Regaleira because it is not included and they sell out!
Great day, our guide Filipe was so knowledgeable and an expert at guiding us through the crowds. You will need to manage to walk up hills and steps
This trip was absolutely amazing and well executed. Pedro was the best guide. He made the trip more memorable with all the information he provided. He went the extra mile to make sure we’re comfortable. He also didn’t mind to be my photographer for this trip lol! I’ve learned so much about the history of the city and his commentary and fun facts kept me entertained for sure. He also took us on a beautiful ride along the cost which was a great conclusion to this beautiful trip. I can’t thank him enough.
Brilliant trip. Absolutely fantastic guide, David was incredibly knowledgeable and if you take this trip include regaleira and inside of pena palace as both were absolutely stunning. If you have the opportunity to have David escort you inside do as his unparalleled knowledge made the visit so much more interesting. Lynn and Kevin
David was an excellent guide! He provided informative information on each of the three sites we visited. It was a very enjoyable day. We're so glad we went on this tour. Our vacation to Lisbon is now complete!
This is a great tour, Sinatra and the palace were wonderful and our guide Philip was so knowledgeable and informative. A very pleasant day.
