Even my parents were married here. I like talking widely about the places we visit and making every visit unique and personal.

This area is full of beautiful landscapes, great culture, superb gastronomy and breath-taking history. This popular spot is much more than film set and I want to introduce its great natural richness and contribute to the conservation of the place. Discover the most popular spot around Bilbao on a different way! The way we work makes it special. Avoid the crowds and join our group of friends. We don`t go with more than eight people, making every experience unique and personal. I will be then tour guide, ensuring the quality of every tour. Actually, this is a special spot for me, as my parents were married in this Chapel. Once we arrive to the area of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, if weather permits, we’ll go to a secret viewpoint hidden among the vegetation. There you’ll get an idea of the hike. Then we’ll hike till the top of the island for 90 minutes. On our way I’ll explain the importance of this place for the locals.

A very beautiful experience but equally strenuous, the unusual heat of these days certainly did not help, but our guide Joseba was excellent, kind, nice, and attentive.. he saw me in difficulty during the ascent and was constantly checking that I was well. If you take the route during the summer, I highly recommend going early in the morning or late in the evening. We were lucky since we also found the church open; they were preparing for the feast of Saint John, which opens only 4 times a year
I highly recommend it. The guide is excellent, speaks several languages, and is very kind. The tour is good, very tiring, but the views are beautiful.
Excellent small group tour! Our guide, Joe, was funny, knowledgeable, incredibly flexible and caring. Nobody was left behind, although the trek was not easy…but definitely worth the effort!

This is a fantastic walking tour with a great guide. The views are absolutely stunning and well worth the walk. Not that there are lots of steps and it is quite hard work on the often shiny cobbled stones of the path. It was a warm day on my visit and it was hard work but absolutely worthwhile. Highly recommended if you are for enough.

We loved the excursion with Joseba. He is very friendly, funny, and knows a lot about the history of the region. He told us many interesting things about Bilbao and its surroundings, and then about San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. He was very attentive and nice to the whole group. Additionally, he speaks many languages and makes an effort to ensure that everyone feels welcome and comfortable.
