Amazing Island and Family Centric tour guide

Christian showed us his beautiful island on our Port day from Star of The Seas on 6/11/26. Roatan was a hidden gem and Christian showed us all around and gave us breath taking views and a deep history of the island. He took our 3, 6, and 7 year old to the best monkey and sloath sanctuary with the kindest staff that made sure our kids had their fill with the animals. He also suggested a great beach for snorkeling and swimming with our incredibly active kids with an accessible restaurant and clean restroom facility. Christian was the perfect guide for the day and was so attentive and amazing with our kids especially. You can tell he truly cares about your tour and loves his home island. He truly made our family’s day in Roatan a memorable one.

Most personal tour!

Christy was our personal tour guide for the day… she lives here and is so knowledgeable about the island… it was literally like spending the day with a friend… we stopped when we wanted and she showed us the highlights of Roatan…a highlight was being at one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to! Our ship had technical difficulties and we arrived several hours late and the company accommodated us beautifully… this was such a personal tour with the BEST GUIDE- a monkey jumped on my head at the sanctuary and it was a total blast!

Funnest day in Roatan

Darbie & our driver (I’m sorry I forgot his name) took our family on a fun & educational excursion of Roatan Honduras. Our first stop was to check out the Mimosa Pudica plant, also known as the 'sensitive plant'. Its leaves famously fold inward when touched. Darbie explained it’s native to South & Central America and its medicinal purposes. Then to AJ’s monkeys & sloths. We got to hold guinea pigs & macaws, white faced capuchin monkeys climbed all over us and were able to get up close to the sloths but no holding. All of the staff at AJ’s were very friendly & able to answer our questions. Next we took a quick stop at a local grocery store. It was very interesting to see the differences between products sold in a Honduran grocery versus what we are used to in the US. Darbie bought us some unique Gatorade and chip flavors to try! Then to the Roatan Chocolate Factory. We were able to see chocolate being made & try some of the flavors. Everything I tried was delicious! Our last stop was Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort. The food was good but the beach was my favorite part. The water was absolutely beautiful. Darbie not only took us to the desired locations but she taught us SO much about the island: Plant life, things about the culture on the island and took us to the best places. She made sure to get us back to port with plenty of time. It’s obvious she is passionate about what she does. This was our first visit to Roatan, as it was one of the stops on our cruise with MSC. My husband and I have already looked into visiting again. The island is beautiful and everyone was very friendly. Tips: Roatan was not the same time as “ship time”. Make sure you know the correct time when you book any excursion.

Amazing experience

Fabulous tour of the island. This is a private guided tour! Juan Carlos took us to a special spot that we would have never have gotten to experience with a cruise excursion or venturing out on our own. He was born and raised in Roatan and his insight was invaluable. You will not regret booking this tour!!!

Had a wonderful time on...

Had a wonderful time on this excursion. Christian told us alot about the island as we toured it. The sloths were great to visit, although you can bo longer hold them. He took us to a chocolate factory and a run factory where we bought items, even a grocery store so we could get some coffee. Finished off with a beer at the beach. Great day.

Awesome Trip

Great trip with private tour, sloths & monkeys was a great up close experience, visited the rum factory which was awesome plus a great view for some pictures. Had 2.5 hours on the West Bay beach which was amazing, decided to skip the chocolate factory. Our driver/guide Dennest was awesome, nothing was too much trouble. Just book it!

5 Star experience of Roatan with tour guide, Christian!!!!

We had the absolute best day touring Roatan with Christian! From start to finish, Christian was a wealth of knowledge about the island, and such a nice, fun guy to spend the day with. His van was clean and comfortable, and he knew all of the best places to take us. Our favorite was the sloth and monkey tour he arranged for us at AJ’s. We stopped by a chocolate factory, and then made some great suggestions for ways to spend the rest of the day. We opted for a delicious lunch at the Kimpton resort at their beachside restaurant. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the water after lunch. Christian is truly fantastic and it was one of our favorite days on our 7-day cruise. We highly recommend! Ty, Christian!!!
