This excursion ended up being replaced with the Sloth sanctuary and Rio Celeste tour do to not many people booking the other. Jose, our guide was fantastic! The views of the Sloths were great. Rio Celeste was fantastic!
Thank you so much for your feedback! 😊 We really appreciate your understanding regarding the change, and we’re so happy to hear that you still had a fantastic experience on the Sloth Sanctuary & Rio Celeste tour. 🌿🦥 It’s great to know that Jose made your day special and that you enjoyed both the sloth sightings and the beautiful Rio Celeste — it truly is a magical place! 💙 Thank you for choosing Pure Nature, and we hope to welcome you again for another amazing adventure in Costa Rica! 🚐✨
This tour was a great way to spend a day. Tour guides Jose, Pablo and bus driver Tony did an awesome job taking us to the sights, telling us about everything we saw and sharing their knowledge. Experiences included feeding iguanas in trees in a local park, a river boat safari where we saw lots of crocs, iguanas, migratory birds and monkeys. We were provided a delicious Costa Rican lunch and shown how to press sugar cane juice with a traditional press. Same was for tasting coffee brewed in the old traditional ways. Overall a really fun day!
Great experience! Our guide Carlos was very knowledgeable and friendly! Our boat captain was also great (forgot his name). We happened to go at low tide and saw plenty of crocodiles, even a baby crocodile about 30cm long! Plenty of migratory birds as well, and iguanas and other lizards. Food was at a local ranch, and was very traditional and our kids ate well.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a great experience and that Carlos made the tour both informative and enjoyable. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to him and to the boat captain as well. It sounds like low tide gave you some amazing wildlife sightings—seeing crocodiles, especially a baby one, along with migratory birds and iguanas is truly special! We’re also glad you enjoyed the traditional meal at the local ranch and that it was a hit with the kids. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back again for another unforgettable adventure! 🌿🐊🦎✨
This excursion consisted of a Safari boat ride in the Palo Verde national park followed by a Casado lunch at Los Coyotes. Pick up from our hotel was provided and it was a long drive. When we got to the boat, the actual operator of the boat (who was not the tour guide who picked us up) pointed out numerous wildlife including various birds, monkeys and of course crocodiles. There was not a lot of narration about the area (as he spoke Spanish only) but he did try to point out as much as he could in the short time we had. Lunch was a Chicken Casado served family style at Los Coyotes - it was very good. The biggest pitfall of the tour is that in the original itinerary they include a trip to a waterfall, and even on the reminder email the day before, they list what to bring and it includes swim suit and towel; however, after lunch the tour ended. When we asked about the waterfall, the tour guide said that the waterfall was not only very far away but was closed. The tour operator did end up refunding us some money ( which was paid promptly in cash and left at our hotel ) and I believe this part of the itinerary is no longer included in the description. Otherwise this is a good way to see crocodiles and other wildlife but coming from Playa Conchal , this definitely took up a big part of the day
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the wildlife sightings during the Safari boat ride in Palo Verde and that you liked the Casado lunch at Los Coyotes. We also appreciate your comments regarding the waterfall and the expectations set in the itinerary. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by the change, and we’re glad we were able to provide a refund promptly. Your feedback is very valuable, and we will continue working to make sure our tour descriptions and communications are clear and accurate. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with another great experience in Costa Rica in the future.
Alan was a GREAT guide. He was so knowledgeable. We had an amazing boat captain who could spot the tiniest things from far away. We learned a lot on this tour. We saw capuchin monkeys, basilisk lizards, bats, lots of birds and even a crocodile fight. There were other companies doing this tour too but our guide was far more attentive than any of the other companies. We also went to a great place for a traditional meal. Our entire family ages 4- adult were engaged on this trip.
We appreciate your comment, which will undoubtedly help us improve and become more professional in our work every day. Thank you very much.
Really enjoyed our trip! It was very educational and our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fluent in the English language. The meal they served was one of the best meals we've had in Costa Rica!
We appreciate your comment, which will undoubtedly help us improve and become more professional in our work every day. Thank you very much.
This tour is an absolute must & Gino our tour guide was amazing! He was so funny & taught us so much about the different zones & beaches of Costa Rica. We was so many beautiful birds, different reptiles, monkeys, & even babies! We definitely got up close & personal w/the Crocodiles, but you'll have to take the tour to see for yourself!!! Afterwards, we had a great, locally prepared & even went to a park nearby to visit some tiny dinosaurs! This tour was so entertaining & Gino made it what it was, nothing short of spectacular!
We thank you for your feedback, it is our pleasure to offer the best possible service to our customers.
This tour group confirmed the tour by email on Friday. I traveled all day Saturday knowing I needed to get up early on Sunday to meet the tour van across town. After I arrived at the appointed place and the van didn't come and didn't come, I texted them and then found a Saturday email cancelling the tour "because of weather." (It was a beautiful day.) They texted me back saying they cancelled the tour because I was the only person who had signed up. An unfriendly experience.
A large community of solo travelers have used our services and know of our commitment to all our clients. In your case, your tour was cancelled 3 days in advance and clearly you are trying to discredit our work, which has been creating excellent experiences for our travelers for years. We wish you the best.
Michael was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this tour with Michael. You will not be disappointed.
We arranged this tour with Carlos at Pure Nature. Our guide Pablo showed up promptly and showed us many sights in addition to our tour. Pablo was so kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. We have great pictures to remember our day. Pablo and Carlos are the best!! You see so much wildlife on this tour.
