Had an unforgettable time with Skydive Wanaka! Jumping from 12,000 ft over Wanaka was exciting and unforgettable. Big thanks to my instructor Jamie — friendly, calm, and made me feel confident the whole time. The staff were great and they were cool as cucumbers!! The freefall was an amazing adrenaline rush, and the views during the parachute ride were stunning. The photos and videos turned out awesome too. 🤩🤩 Highly recommend Skydive Wanaka to anyone visiting New Zealand!
What an incredible experience jumping from 15,000 ft! The whole team was friendly and very professional. Big thanks to Rob—he was amazing and made the whole jump enjoyable even though I was very scared. He makes you laugh so you don't think about the anxiety too much. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about skydiving! Wanaka has a stunning scenery.
What can I say - WOW! We booked this for a friends birthday present and no regrets. The staff are amazing and make you feel completely relaxed about the jump. Jumping from 15000 ft is definitely the way to go as the views and experience are something you want to last as long as you can. We debated paying extra for the video but decided to do it last minute and would highly recommend as a momento, especially if it’s your first time. Can’t wait to do it again!
I was impressed with the staff that took my daughter on the jump but the video I paid $209 dollars for was disgusting could even get her face on the initial jump out the plane then couldn't see her properly through the jump i will be telling everyone I know that the video and photos are just a money grab waste of money and is very upsetting it all should have come in the package not happy and will do it again ruined my experience with wanaka sky dive
Trust your dive guide. They're great! Thanks Ben! Views were great and location information was helpful and informative.
The most amazing experience. Staff were so attentive and friendly. We had our jump delayed by an hour or so due to operational issues but the staff kept us informed so no bother at all. Huge shout out to Lucas the instructor who I jumped with, made the experience even more memorable, the best vibes- had the most amazing time! Thank you all so much for!
Skydive Wānaka was definitely an experience. The skydive itself was very cool, flying, seeing what’s around but the staff.. not so good. The receptionists were lovely but the men who you skydive with were not pleasant. They never really smiled, spoke to you, listened or anything. Just boring and bland. It made our experience really awkward and looking back at photos doesn’t feel great. I loved the skydive and would recommend it just maybe not here and seeing other reviews I would assume it’s clear this isn’t the best place. Overall 3/5 as the skydive was fun and not all of it was bad but the pictures were also heavily overpriced for what you get. Not the best!
Fantastic experience! was nervous about doing as first time doing it anything like it. Shout to rory thought he was really good. The whole place seemed very professional thank you. Recommend doing the 15000 ft as thought the free fall part was amazing
Jumped with my 13 year old son. Great communication on the day. Instructors were excellent. Felt really safe at all times. View was incredible
Skydiving Wanaka is, hands down, one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Jumping from 15,000 feet over Wanaka should be terrifying… yet somehow it felt incredibly good—and that’s 100% thanks to my tandem instructor, Cuzzy. From the moment we geared up, Cuzzy brought total calm, confidence, and good energy. He explained everything clearly, kept things light and fun, and made it obvious that I was in the hands of a true professional. When you’re about to step out of a plane at 15,000 feet, that kind of trust means everything. The jump itself? Unreal. Freefalling over Wanaka’s mountains, lakes, and valleys felt like flying through a postcard. Time slowed down, fear disappeared, and all that was left was pure adrenaline and awe. 15,000 feet has never felt so smooth, so safe, or so incredible. Cuzzy made the entire experience feel effortless—from exit to landing—and somehow managed to turn one of the most extreme things you can do into something that felt natural, controlled, and insanely fun. If you’re thinking about skydiving in New Zealand, this is the place, and if you can request an instructor, ask for Cuzzy. Absolute legend. I’d jump again tomorrow without hesitation.
