Itinerary
THE BLUE HOUSE The Blue House is the intimate universe of Frida Kahlo. She spent most of her life here, first with her family and, years later, with Diego Rivera. Interesting national and foreign characters were hosted here, attracted by the magnetism of both painters. Frida and Diego wanted to leave their house as a museum for the enjoyment of all Mexicans. Upon the painter's death, the couple's friend, the museumman and poet Carlos Pellicer, planned the museumography. The administration was entrusted to the Trust of the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Museums, attached to the Bank of Mexico and constituted by Rivera himself in 1957.
The Anahuacalli Museum is unique. The only pity is that international visitors don’t tend to come here until their third or fourth visit to The City. Entirely conceived by Diego Rivera, it is a complete setting for his own collection of pre-Hispanic artworks. But it is also a temple to celebrate architecture, music, craftsmanship and theatre, and all in a carefully crafted natural environment.

Skip the line doesntmean skip the line. The line was as long to get in as the other line. Full scam.
The ticketing process was completely frustrating. No communication from operator. Viator failed badly here
They changed the access schedule of my ticket one day before. They did not give me many options, but aside from that, they sent me my ticket, and I was able to enter the museum.
I was a bit scared to book it due to the reviews claiming it was a scam. We are from Spain and did not know we had to book the tickets on the official website well in advance, and we only had one day to go see it. It is a solution if you have no other options. Upon seeing that many people called them scammers, I realized that the problem was that they did not contact them to request the tickets because they give you a coupon, but IMPORTANTLY, those are not the actual tickets. You have to write to them so they can send you the valid tickets. Important: know that no matter what time you book for 3:30 PM, they will give you a time for 4:15 PM, and even if you book SKIP THE LINE, you will have to wait in line because that option does not exist. It is always like this, according to what the girl at the entrance told us. We lost one hour because we went at 3:00 PM to have enough time, and we ended up taking a walk around the area and having a coffee. Other than that, visiting Frida's house was one of the best things.
I booked this experience for a 3pm timeslot. Emailed tickets were for 4:15pm. I attempted to contact the company three times over the chat option with no response. I also called the company phone number and there was no answer. Viator representative also reached out twice with no response. Viator eventually received an email back from company that the 3pm slot had sold out. I had friends that purchased the same experience after I had and received an earlier time slot. As advised from Viator, I arrived to the museum at the 3pm timeslot and was turned away. Unfortunately, I was flying out that same evening and could not make the later time work with my schedule. I was unable to attend the experience and spent a large portion of the day trying to get in contact with this company. Will be requesting a refund for this purchase.
Me encaró el museo pero la descripción de el paquete no el correcto. I bought a skip the line pass and that was no honored the museum said they don’t do that and k had to wait in line also it not for both museum they give you a slot for the Frida Kahlo but no for the Diego mesuem for the price i paid i would just buy the ticket in the website ahead of time
I booked my reservation several weeks in advance specifically to secure tickets and an early time slot, knowing that the museum often sells out. Unfortunately, my reservation was canceled the day before my visit without any explanation. I later saw that there was an email attempting to move my reservation from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but I was traveling throughout Mexico City and did not see it in time. Thankfully, I was able to rebook, but the new reservation ended up being for 5:00 PM instead of 4:30 PM. Since the museum closes at 6:00 PM, this only gave us about an hour to experience the museum, which made the visit feel rushed and incomplete. We had planned our day around our original 10:30 AM reservation and were disappointed that we were unable to keep the time slot we booked well in advance. I understand that schedule changes can happen, but I would have appreciated a clearer explanation and better accommodation, especially given how far in advance the reservation was made
This is a total SCAM, we wasn't able to get our tickets, we wasn't able to get in. The code was only a receipt, besides that never answer by watsup
if i receive my refund for my initial reservation i’ll be less disappointed. it was a huge hassle and communicating with viator and the tour operator ( L & D?) was frustrating & unhelpful. they did not send me the tickets i purchased back in April and then they CANCELLED my reservation the day before the event. i purchased new tickets . waiting for my refund still, we’ll see. and there was NO skip the line. we were told that doesn’t exist st casa azul…even though i paid extra for it.
The museum is spectacular, we didn't skip the line, but it wasn't very long. It's good because tickets on the museum's website are hard to get.
