0. Either the place doesnt exist or has closed but I paid money to someone or something and when I called to see how to get there It sounded like someone on a motorcycle and they couldnt understand me . So I just forfeited the 10 bucks
Interesting museum to visit. We absolutely recommend a guidence tour, since you'lll hear many interesting details. The place was easy to find.
Great museum! Informative and interesting to understand the forgotten war, development of Patpong and much more.
Got great history lesson of the area and learned about the people that shaped the Patong area. You also learn a bit more about the development of the sex industry which was unique. Easy and interesting tour with narration and visuals as aids. Highly recommend if your in the area.
The wealth of knowledge provided is insurmountable. Even as an American, I learned American history I was never aware of. If you are in Bangkok you need to stop by and tour this museum.
This was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend it. We had an American tour guide called Randy. The way Randy told the history of Patpong was predominantly just about the Americans who had visited (Jim Thompson, CIA soldiers and American military, multinational companies, and David Bowie). The curating also reflected this focus. The tour was about 1 hour or 1.5 hours long and we had no choice but to take it. When we wandered off (bored) Randy snapped and wouldn’t let us look at the exhibition alone. Randy made some very strange comments in support of US military war criminals in Laos. The tour ended with a very transphobic display, which forces visitors to guess the genitals of Thai women. When we refused to play the game, Randy got very defensive. The perspectives of sex workers was also absent. This could be such an incredible museum of an area with rich history but Randy felt like an inappropriate guide and teller of these stories. The curating felt very disconnected from the Thai people who live and work in this area.
Lovely tour. great guide really. educational an interesting and they keep it fun and silly too. Learned a lot about the history of Bangkok and Americas weird influence over the years. war has many odd and lingering faces.
We had a really nice time with our guide, he explained us the history of Patpong and was very funny and interesting to listen to
We had a great tour of the hidden side of the city and a community. Our guide was friendly and very informative.
The museum is very informative and helpful, and the speakers are very fun, not boring, just for first-time tourists.
