Perfect Tour to visit the Similian Islands

An amazing tour by Seastar company of the Similian Islands. Everything was planned and full day tour went smoothly. They offer 3 meals. Breakfast, lunch on one of the islands and dinner when you return back. Very friendly staff especially Sara, We and Gimp (not sure about the name ☺️) Boat 99. Staff also offers to take videos and photos for free to have memories with you back home. They give you all the snorkling equipment and offer drinks and towels on the boat. Wonderful experience for everyone. Highly Recommended

Extremely dangerous and irresponsible experience

This trip to the Similan Islands should never have taken place in these weather conditions. Before departure, we were told at the pier that the weather would be better and the waves smaller in open sea, which was completely untrue. It was clear that the organizers were mainly interested in our money. We repeatedly asked the guide, Chris, before departure whether the trip was sensible and, most importantly, safe. It had been raining in the days before, and although there was little wind, the sea in the harbor was already rough. After about 20 minutes, the conditions worsened rapidly. The wind picked up, the waves grew larger, and the young crew clearly underestimated the power of the sea and overestimated the boats. What started as excitement quickly turned into fear. People were vomiting and afraid for themselves and their children. At one point, a strong wave suddenly spun one of the speedboats in the opposite direction. Despite our clear requests to turn back, the crew refused and continued for another 15 minutes at high speed in extremely rough seas. One person suffered a serious panic attack that continued even after returning to shore. After about cca. 45 minutes, we were informed that the islands were closed due to bad weather — a decision that likely prevented a serious accident. Although we received a refund, this was the worst experience we had in Thailand. I strongly do not recommend this operator, especially for families or anyone expecting basic safety and responsibility.

Amazing Similan Islands Snorkeling Tour – Highly Recommended!

The tour was absolutely amazing! Our guides, Chris and Sunny, were truly fantastic. Chris is originally from Germany, which was a big plus for German-speaking guests, as everything was very easy to understand. Sunny was also excellent and very clear in English. The entire day was perfectly planned and organized. You are more than well taken care of when it comes to food — there is plenty to eat throughout the day. Snorkels and diving masks are provided on board, and everything is very hygienic since everyone receives a brand-new mouthpiece. Fins can be rented separately, and there are life jackets available for everyone on board. After arrival and group allocation, you head straight to the boat. The first stop includes snorkeling followed by lunch on the first island, which was really delicious. There are always drinks and snacks available on the boat, and towels are also provided for use during the trip. Before departure, you have the option to rent a GoPro for 1,500 Baht. Photos are taken throughout the day, and at the end you can purchase them for 200 Baht per photo, beautifully framed in a wooden frame — truly lovely souvenirs and memories. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were perfectly organized. We went in December 2025, which is high season, so there were many people, but it is still absolutely worth seeing the Similan Islands. After returning from the snorkeling tour, there is even a dinner before being brought back to the hotel. Thank you so much, Sunny and Chris — you gave us an unforgettable day that we will never forget!

Terrible mass tourism tour

The most horrible tour I've ever done. Absolute handling of mass tourism. The islands are very beautiful but full to the limit. There is garbage on the islands and no consideration is given to nature. The snorkel spots are besieged by 100 tourists next to each other. Bleached and dead corals everywhere. And the food was miserable, too. Absolutely not a recommendation. The rice/performance ratio is not given at all.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your tour did not meet your expectations. During the high-season period, the number of visitors to the islands and snorkelling areas is exceptionally high, and unfortunately this is something beyond our control. Nonetheless, we always strive to ensure the best possible experience for all our guests, and your feedback is very valuable in helping us improve our services. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and thank you again for your review.

Trip of a Lifetime

This trip was an absolute delight from the very start to the very end. The organisation was impeccable, and the crew went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being. Our guide, Jennie, was an absolute gem—friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. We had an absolute blast every minute of it. The food was simply fantastic, considering the number of people they catered to on the island. They served delicious pasta, fresh prawns, and crispy fried chicken. There were an abundance of Coke and water, and even crackers and fresh fruit for our journey back to the dock. And to top it off, they had free ice cream, kebabs, and more treats waiting for us at the port on our return. The views were breathtaking, and the snorkelling was an absolute treat. We wish we could have stayed longer. Having booked a similar trip in Turkey last year, I wasn’t expecting much, but this trip far exceeded our expectations. It was not only more value for money but also better in every way.

Apart from seeing these beautiful fish, the rest is really disappointing

It is a real factory. We are very numerous! Despite a rather satisfactory organization, the rest leaves much to be desired. We talk to you like kids, we give you orders and apart from the first dive where the fish are very beautiful, we stay for a few minutes on beaches to go back to see another less beautiful spot. You are regularly given something to eat but it is really gross. Apart from the one who runs the excursion, positive, the team is quite nice. In short choose another way to make the islands, something more intimate or family. Precisely, we left from Khao lak no phuket.

Snorkeling trip to Similan islands

- Pick-up: somewhat early but on time, careful driving and clean vehicle, no flexibility on preferred departure and return time as group dependent - At the pier: well organized industry for processing vast number of tourists, longish waiting times, clean amenities, fair food - Boat trip: fast, modern and well crewed, treats on board, safe and clean snorkeling gear - Sites: two snorkeling sites and two at the beach stays. Beautiful underwater, overcrowded on the surface (expect at least half a dozen of other boats with each around 30 snorkelers ) - Lunch break: poor to fair, beach overcrowded see above - Staff: professional, caring and nice - Value for money: fair if you don’t mind a crowd

Dear Bonus_n_Howel Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the boat trip itself, with its modern amenities, friendly crew, and beautiful underwater sights. We appreciate you acknowledging the professionalism and care of our staff as well. We understand your feedback about the waiting times and crowded beaches. As you mentioned, these can be unavoidable factors with group tours due to industry processing and popularity of the destinations. We do try our best to balance timely departures with ensuring everyone gets on board. For future reference, we do offer some private tour options that may provide more flexibility on timing and potentially less crowded areas. You can find more details on our website! Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to see you on another adventure soon!

Nice snorkeling

We were four people on a day trip. We got a price of 2200 baht per person from a local tour operator in Khao Lak close to our resort. Thus DKK 440 per person, which is far cheaper than the price if booked from home. We had a really nice day. It was interesting to visit the harbor nomads on the similan islands (monk). We could easily spend more than half an hour there. After that we had to go snorkelling. The water was nice, but unfortunately there were small firemen who stung at the place we were snorkelling. Our kids didn't want to snorkel after that. Later we visited several other snorkel sites. The last place was very beautiful. We saw barracuda, moray eel, nemofish and many others I don't know the name of. The guide jumped into the water first and checked that there were no firefighters in the water. Thank you for a lovely experience. Vh Chr
