The tour begins with hotel pickup (in or near Arequipa's historic center) at 8:50 a.m. We'll head toward the Sillar Route, making our first stop at a viewpoint overlooking the volcanoes surrounding the city. We'll then visit the Añashuayco Quarry, where we'll learn about the extraction and carving process of sillar, Arequipa's emblematic volcanic rock. We'll then head to Quebrada de Culebrillas, a narrow canyon with walls up to 20 meters high, where we'll take a 20-minute hike and discover ancient petroglyphs. Your return to the city is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Pick up at hotel efficient, tour was somewhat rushed due to time limit. Pick up and drop off was supposed to be in same location instead the guide dropped everyone off a the centre and we had to find our own way back to hotel/lodgings. This was unexpected and difficult.
