The Sigiriya Museum is a modern archaeological museum located at the base of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It provides a comprehensive insight into the history, engineering, and urban planning of ancient Sigiriya, developed during the reign of King Kashyapa in the 5th century. Climb the iconic 5th-century rock fortress built by King Kashyapa. Our driver REM (Rimzan) took us to Sigiriya Rocks, the Elephant orphanage, Dambulla temple and some sights. Long drive but very comfortable. Safe driver. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
