Sightseeing with the Sound of Music: A Salzburg Audio Tour

Description
If you are a Sound of Music fan, this is the self guided audio tour for you! I’ll show you around Salzburg, the magical and musical birthplace of Mozart, and while you won't be climbing every mountain, you will see a few of my favourite things from the film. There are plenty of highlights along the way, and some of them you can only get to on foot. I’m sure you’ll enjoy: • Splashing your hand in Maria's fountain • Singing Do Re Mi in the Mirabell Gardens • Running across the bridge like the Von Trapp children • Throwing tomatoes in the market square • Learning about the real Von Trapp family and the real "Uncle Max” • Hearing secrets from the production of the Sound of Music • Seeing the church where Mozart was baptised We’ll see most of Salzburg's less musical landmarks too, and you should have your bearings by the end of the tour.

Interesting and well presented tour. Just the right length. The directions are easy to follow and the commentary is informative.
I will admit, my preference was to do a formal tour on a bus but was very pleasantly surprised with the guided tour. It was very user-friendly and informative. I loved that you could pause it, stop and take a break, eat lunch, try some schnapps, etc. It showed so many of the locations within the walking area of Salzburg. Obviously, I cannot compare to the formal tour as I did not do one, however, when it was done, the only things I felt I missed was getting out to see the house where some of the Van Trapp clips were filmed and maybe a few other sites that I was hoping to see. I loved this so much that I also checked to see if they had some for Munich as well. I would certainly use this self-guided app again and love that I have permanent access to it in case I wish to revisit! Great value for the money and one of my fondest memories from Salzburg! Remembering to bring headphones to connect to your phone is a great tip!
This was a really great option for a walking tour. It was easy to use and the app was seamless. If you went off track it guided you back. Highly recommend this app tour.
