Our trekking tour in Sidemen was absolutely incredible! The scenery was breathtaking, with beautiful rice terraces and stunning mountain views. Our guide took so much time for us, never rushed, and explained everything in a friendly and personal way. On top of that, the tour was unbelievably affordable for what we experienced. Highly recommended - we would definitely do it again!!
We stayed in Bukit Luah Guesthouse and they aranged a ricefieldtrekking for us with Wayan. Wayan was really nice and teached us a lot about the ricefields of Sidemen. We were really happy. Thank you Wayan!
Wayan gave a relaxed and fascinating tour through the rice fields and plantations, then went to the waterfall together. Thnx Wayan for a fun morning and afternoon!
Sidemen Village was a very disappointing experience for me. Unfortunately, there were no rice fields to see as most of them were already harvested, which took away from the main reason for visiting this place. Overall, the experience did not match the expectations or the hype around it and felt like a waste of money. I would not recommend visiting unless you specifically check the season beforehand.
Most excellent tour of the rice terraces in Sidemen and around! Don't hesitate to book with Wayan. He is fun, has great knowledge that he loves to share, and is super interesting to talk to. I spent a wonderful morning with him and even had the chance to eat at his family's warung for a late lunch... delicious :)
Together with my boyfriend, we ended up with Wayan by chance. Super friendly and enthusiastic man who has told us everything we wanted to know about the rice fields and nature of Sidemen. You can't have it any more local! He talked about his childhood and also took us on the plantations where we were allowed to taste products. Finally, he took us to a warung where they even cooked a dish especially for us that was not on the menu. The trip with Wayan was the highlight of our trip. Recommended!
Local knowledge, super kind guy and great with my toddler! Our questions were answered and we learnt about the fields along the way. Was well worth the experience!
Wayan knows the place perfectly well! It was super interesting to learn things about rice culture but also (among others) the fruit plants from the region.
A beautiful 2 hour tour with our experienced guide Wayan who lives in a village next to the rice fields. He knows a lot about the scenery, plants and nature. His family also grows rice in the fields, so he can tell you everything about the process. If you need a guide, ask for him. His friendliness and knowledge will make your trekking extra special!
A beautiful walk in a stunning setting. I enjoyed the beautiful nature very much. Great company and a fun way to get to know more about the area.
