It started iff with a mix up with the departure time. Originally we were told 5 am but got a call at 3 am that they were waiting for us. We had a good time once we got to Pamukkale, but the bus had some problems and honestly we thought we would not make it. On the uphills it only rode in first gear and even that was problematic. Also, there were too many stops on the way there for tourist trap places. We would have preferred to get to Pamukkale first and then on our way back make those stops. That way we would have avoided the heat and crowds. The Russian guide said so many things (we understand a bit), but the English guide did not explain half of it. We feel like we missed on learning about the history because of it. Anyway, it is done now and we have good pictures and memories from those 3 hours at Pamukkale. Wish we had more time. Knowing what we know now, we should have rented a car and drove ourselves to Pamukkale, it would have been faster and more efficient. It is all highway and safe, for those who are considering.
