Unmissable this interpretation center where we will be explained about the flora and fauna of this wonderful world heritage site called Península Valdés. Next, we have a tower to observe the island of the birds and understand the crush of the aviator and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Was it a hat or a cobra that ate an elephant?
Puerto Pirámides is a small spa village located within the Valdés Peninsula Protected Natural Area, above the New Gulf, and is the only urban center within this UNESCO World Heritage-listed reserve. It is characterized by its pyramid-like cliffs, wide beaches and calm waters, and a strong orientation to nature tourism and outdoor activities.
Later we continue our trip to Caleta Valdés where we can see an elephant and sea lion roost from the viewpoint walkways. Here we will be patient, hoping to be lucky enough to be surprised by the approach of orcas, since it is the best place in the world to see their intentional stranding technique for feeding. It has a hostel, toilets, and trails.
After the visit to the reserve we begin the return to Puerto Madryn where if time is enough we can take a city tour to present the most important points of our beautiful coastal city. We will adapt the tour by offering the Worry Free system, you enjoy that we will be responsible for the times, for this it is possible that we alter the itinerary or if necessary we do not do any of the points.

We pick up all passengers at the dock door. Please get off as quickly as possible. If the start time of this tour does not coincide with the arrival time of your ship, don't worry! We can reschedule it to your arrival time. The tour begins 30 minutes maximum 45 after the arrival of the boat. We are a tourism agency authorized for the entry and attention of cruise passengers. Once you get off your cruise, you have approximately 30 minutes to start the tour. We will be in contact with you all the time.

Such a fantastic day! It was a small group tour to peninsula Valdez and Mariana was amazing. She speaks great English, is one of the most knowledgeable guides I’ve ever toured with, and has such a positive passionate vibe about her. She made the day so fun!
Fantastic Tour to Peninsular Valdès. Our guide Hugo and driver Nicolas were fantastic and spotted plenty of wild life for us to see, we even got to see some orcas which was truly amazing. I would highly recommend Animal Travel.

This was anexcellent tour Our guide Ugo was well organised and gave us a an interesting and informative commentary over the whole day. We left at 7.30 before the tour buses. Our mini bus was modern and clean. We saw almost every animal we had hoped to see including Guanacos, Patagonia Maras hares,Grey fox, Elephant seals, Sea Lions and of course the Magellanic penguins. We had plenty of bathroom stops and a nice packed lunch. We never felt rushed and stopped often for photos. We were back in town in time to do a tour of the town.We struck a beautiful fine sunny day which was the icing on the cake. An excellent tour and one we would definitely recommend.
A long ride on the bus totaling 400 km with a few stops where you can spot penguins, seals and elephant seals. Along the way you can also see animals in their habitat but then you have to be lucky because the bus travels quite fast. The lunch box was fine and the guide gave interesting information.
This was a very well organized shore excursion from Puerto Madryn. We were met at the pier where we paid the $35 per person national park fee in U.S. dollars. The tour revolved around seeing wildlife, and our tour guide, Jorge, was excellent at explaining all the animals at the viewing points. Our driver, Victor, also helped by stopping on the road when there was land animals in site, including guanacos, merino sheep, and rheas. We were served a box lunch and 3 bottles of water. We were returned to the pier in time to board our cruise ship. We truly enjoyed this tour!
Communication before the tour was excellent. We met the tour group at the pier as expected. We paid the extra $35 per person National Park fee at the pier. Our tour guide, Jorge, was excellent with his explanations of all the wildlife that we went to view. Our driver, Victor, was very good at locating and stopping at points along the way to view land animals. I truly felt that this tour allowed us to get awesome photos of the wildlife on Peninsula Valdes. We were returned to the pier in plenty of time.

This was a good experience, but moved very quickly and it was hard to hear the guide on the bus most of the time. More for the sights, less for information.
Had a really fun time on this tour and was the highlight of my trip! We saw so much wildlife, including elephant seals, Magellanic penguins, Patagonian maras, rheas, burrowing owls, cavies, variable hawks, guanacos, and a graceful tree iguana. I was amazed to see these other animals and it really helped having a small group where the guide and driver pointed out and stopped to observe wildlife from the van on our drive back, like a safari. Other animals possible to see include orcas and armadillos, but we missed them this time! I would recommend this tour for people who are most interested in the wildlife of Puerto Madryn, as the focus was on the animals and besides stopping briefly at the interpretation center (which had a small gift shop that may be very busy on cruise days), shopping or city viewing isn’t built into the tour. I really appreciate that they provided ample options in the boxed lunch (multiple sandwiches, muffin, granola bar, crackers, apple) and had vegetarian options too. They also provided ice cold bottled water for guests. We got back to our cruise ship right on time and made the most of the day.

There is a lot of driving but it is unpreventable because of the location of wildlife. Not a very exciting port.
