Shore Excursion in Tierra del Fuego National Park

Description
Embark on an unforgettable adventure through Tierra del Fuego National Park, where nature comes alive with the sounds of birds, ancient forests, and unique landscapes. We depart from the hotel toward Route N°3, leading us to a paradise of lenga and guindo trees. Guided by local experts, we follow trails that take us to Lake Roca – Errazuriz, whose waters reflect centuries of history, surrounded by trees over 300 years old and breathtaking views stretching to the Chilean border. At the Alakush Visitor Center, we uncover the richness of the park’s fauna, flora, and human history, including the Yámanas and the first pioneers. With renewed energy, we continue to Bahía Lapataia, the end of the iconic Route N°3, and make a stop at Ensenada Zaratiegui to visit the southernmost post office. Among rocky formations and forests that meet the sea, the connection with the island’s nature and history becomes truly unforgettable.

Tierra del Fuego National Park is beautiful, both by van and by train. Very interesting history of the original convicts in the area.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your excursion in the National Park. The history of the convicts who forged these paths—enduring harsh conditions to lay the tracks—gives every corner of the park its unique character. We look forward to welcoming you back soon so you can continue discovering the wonders of the End of the World.
Review title really says it all. The train ride was enjoyable but the sights not up to what I had expected. You also need to pay the park fee, £45 for two of us in addition to the tour fee.
Small group travel to Tierra Del Fuego NP then a short train ride back out of the park. Our guide wasn’t particularly chatty with information about the history, flora and fauna. He’d answer if asked but I’m used to a more informative guide
Thank you for your feedback! We're sorry to hear the experience wasn’t as informative as you had hoped. We truly value comments like yours, as they help us improve. We're already working with our team of guides to ensure they share more information proactively during the tours. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again and offer a more complete experience next time.
We originally had confirmation that our tour would be in the morning (10:30) but because others in our group had selected the Train option and we hadn’t, we were rescheduled to have an afternoon tour at 1330. So this was disappointing but we used our time to walk around Ushuaia, visit some of the sites and mail postcards to Canada. There was more waiting once the tour started because the guide wouldn’t be free to start a short hike with us until the other customers were settled onto the train. We used our time to visit the adjacent golf course and practice a few putts. The train ride is a total tourist trap. We were far happier to explore the area on foot once we eventually got to it. The area is beautiful and not at all difficult to navigate. It’s really worth seeing if you are in Ushuaia for the day
tour guide skewed the narration more to spanish than english but we are in south america after all. roads are very bumpy and extremely dusty. be prepared! tour lasted 4 hours after a late start due to late arrival back from previous tour in town. scenery was amazing along with visiting the southern most post office in the world. if your back is strong and your lungs working at 100% spend the money and make the journey.
An amazing experience. We had the privilege of doing the excursion in the first week of the season (spring). Thanks to this and despite being a shared excursion, we went alone (guide, driver, my wife and I). Both our guide (Maru) and the driver (Claudio) found us excellent people. The deal was exquisite. The pickup in our airbnb was punctual. The journey to the perfect national park, with explanations from our guide of the points of interest that we crossed, Maru turned out to be a real encyclopedia of ushuaia, especially of the national park and its nature. We have a wonderful memory of the excursion and much of the credit was given to Claudio and Maru. The national park is great. Lovely. Unbelievable. If you go to ushuaia you can not miss it. At the end of the tour, during the return journey, I was able to see through the window of the minivan what I initially thought was a beaver and Claudio immediately stopped the ride so that he could get out of the vehicle so that he could see it better. It is these details that speak for themselves. Of course, if I ever come back, I will re-contract with them for the excursions. They made me feel like I went on a field trip with friends. Thanks for everything!!!!!
Itinerary showing fee admission in National park however the provide that we need pay additional 12000 peso. I don’t recommend this tour!!
Wow! What a great excursion of the Tierra del Fuego national Park, which included the end of the world train ride. Our tour guide Noelia was excellent. Our driver Guillermo made sure that we were safe in our travels in their Land Rover vehicle. we got a nice history of the Tierra del Fuego park and got to go to several locations with stunning views of various bodies of water, forests and mountains. We also signed up for the end of the world train ride, and that was spectacular. Noelia was so informative and helpful in so many ways. She showed us some highlights of the Ushuaia area too. Her English was excellent. Noelia gave us tips on where to eat after the excursion. I highly recommend Tierra del Fuego Aventura for your expeditions.
Met at the gangway from the ship exactly as promised and with only 15 on tour had a much more personalized tour. Payment of the 12000 pesos entry to the Tierra del Fuego national park was supervised by the tour guide so very easy. Saw everything on the advertised itinerary. Overall an excellent tour.
We were met at the Ushuaia port by a driver and guide in a private car. This was a most welcome surprise, due to the fact nobody else had booked this part of the tour. We proceeded with a 2.5 hour city tour during which our guide gave a knowledgeable account of the city's culture, history and points of interest plus kept us fully informed of the rest of the day's events. A break for lunch was then followed by a visit to the National Park, along with a small coach full of tourists and Lucas, an English speaking very proficient guide. He was full of interesting and knowledgeable facts and cared for the tourists as if they were his family. As we were the only couple who hadn't pre booked the train ride to the end of the world, we disappointingly assumed we'd need to wait until the group returned before proceeding. At the last moment, Lucas managed to locate us in the souvenir shop, having managed to obtain cancellation tickets for us. We thought this was extremely thoughtful of him. Needless to day, we saw some beautiful sights, including the lakes plus we obtained that elusive end of the world pic! All in all, a fabulous day and worth every penny.
