Itinerary
First, we will take you to see the Kelpies: the largest equine statues in the world.
We will then visit the Falkirk Wheel - the world’s first and only rotating boat lift. This iconic Scottish landmark and feat of engineering stands 115ft tall and transfers boats between the two canals.
We will then head on to Glasgow, and our first stop will be at the Glasgow Cathedral. Built in the 1100s, Glasgow Cathedral survived the Protestant Reformation almost intact, and is now the most complete medieval cathedral on the Scottish mainland.
Adjacent to Glasgow Cathedral, you can then explore the Necropolis if you wish. Established in 1831 and built in the Classical Revival architectural fashion, and modeled on Père-Lachaise in Paris, the Necropolis has around 3,500 tombs. Entry included.
Here, you also have the option of visiting Provand's Lordship. Bult in 1471, this is the oldest house in Glasgow.
Next to Provand's Lordship, if you wish, you can visit the St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art. Entry included.
Leaving the Cathedral Precint, we will then take you to see the Doulton Fountain, built for the 1888 International Exhibition in Glasgow. This is the largest terracotta fountain in the world.
We will then head to the West End, via some of the incredible Glasgow Murals. Once in the West End, we will take you to see Glasgow University's main building: the Gilbert Scott building. This is the second largest Neo-Gothic building in the UK after Westminster Palace.
We will then take you to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, built in 1901 in the Spanish Baroque style. Here you can see a series of collections, as well as a restored Spirtfire plane from WW2.
Finally, time permitting, we will finish our tour by taking you to the award-winning Transport Museum before we take you back to your cruise ship or other holiday accommodation.

Darryl is knowledgeable and friendly. He perfectly planned a trip that captured our interests and took into account everyone’s needs. We left having experienced the best of Glasgow for us.
Great to hear your shore excursion from Greenock was a wonderful experience, many thanks for your kind words.
Had a wonderful day with Shac as our tour guide. He was great to communicate with before our excursion and did a fantastic job making sure we saw what we wanted to do while getting us back in time as well. I would highly recommend this tour and having Shac as your guide.
Thanks so much Michael! Appreciate the recommendation and 5 stars. Shak will be pleased :)
We had a great half day tour with Chrissie! We visited Loch Lomond, the Highland Coos, Dione castle and the Kelpies! Chrissie tailored the tour to meet our interests and she had a ton of knowledge to share about Scotland. Highly recommend this tour company- book direct!
Aw thank you so much Connie! Was wonderful to meet you both. Very grateful for the recommendation :) hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip and best of luck with the trip to Africa! Take care
Our tour guide Gerry took us on a full day tour from the cruise port to Loch Lomond, the town of Luss, Inveraray, the Coos and the Kelpies. Gerry’s knowledge and stories of the area made for a wonderful full day tour we appreciated the time that he took with us to show us the larger sites as well as the smaller sites along the way. We took this tour as part of a cruise stop. And Gerry was very conscious of the time that we needed to be back to the ship. By the end of the tour we felt like Gerry was part of the family and Scotland was a little bit like home.
So lovely to read that Scotland is a bit like home for you, Gina. Hoping it continues throughout your cruise to Kirkwall & Edinburgh. Glad you had a great time with Gerry and thank you so much for your glowing review!
Jimmy our guide was second to none he customized his tour to what we wanted to see and took great care to accommodate our group accessibility needs. He is also funny as can be. We had a great day exploring the Falkirk and Glasgow area with Jimmy. Highly recommend this tour and suggest you request Jimmy.
Jimmy is not only a great guide, but also a unique character! We are glad you had a completely enjoyable time with him.
Darryl is an excellent guide! This tour was the highlight of our trip so far. Darryl was very accommodating to our requested stops and even a couple of curve balls we threw him along the way. He was very conscious about what we wanted to see and do and was very informative of the area and its history. He was patient, considerate, and caring. Do not hesitate to book a trip with Darryl. You will be thrilled you did!
Thank you for your review. Our guides' main focus is always ensuring our clients have an exceptional day, and we're pleased Darryl went the extra mile for you on the day!
Omar Razza Was our driver for the day. He was kind polite and a sensational driver. He provided information on the various sites we visited during our all day tour, and most importantly knew the best route for timing for arrival at our different stops. He expertly guided us through the city of Costco and was exceptionally considerate to our needs an amount of time at each job. We would highly recommend him.!
Many thanks for your feedback and review of our Glasgow. Kelpies and Falkirk wheel tour. Omar always put 100% into his tours and it shows in his great reviews
Wonderful day with Karen! Very professional tour company. We saw multiple highlights in Glasgow AND the Kelpies & Falkirk Wheel in just one day! We never felt rushed and we returned to our ship in ample time before all aboard time!
Thank you for your review of Karen and our tour. We are glad you had a great time, and hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise trip.
Our driver, Simon, was personable, flexible, courteous. He made our day a memorable one because he was willing to personalize our itinerary to help us see some places and things that were of special interest to us. Once he got the sense of the kind of interests we had, he made some excellent suggestions to round out our experience. Our side trip to the little town of Luss proved to be one of the highlights of our day. Simon was also attentive to our needs by providing water, a step stool to get in and out of his van, and his suggestion for lunch in the town of Callander. Lastly, our last experience was with the Falkirk Wheel. Simon took time to explain how it worked and waited patiently while we watched the wheel operate. All in all, we had a great day getting out into the countryside outside of Glasgow. I highly recommend his services as both a good driver and guide.
What a lovely review and praise for Simon, happy to hear it was a great day out for all. 💗
We had an amazing private tour of the Scottish Highlands area with Gerry. The tour had a standard itinerary but Gerry let us customize it to see and do a few things we specifically requested. Gerry is very knowledgeable about this area and provided us with a lot of very interesting historical facts along our tour. He went above and beyond what we expected to make sure we enjoyed our day with him! Gerry was very professional and very easy to work with. Our communications with E2G and Gerry were very clear and timely! We couldn't have asked for a better tour than we had with Gerry/E2G and would not hesitate to book another tour with them if we return to the area!
We really appreciate your wonderful review and your nice praise for Gerry. Having a flexible guide on the day makes our tours that bit more special, many thanks.
