A lovely location to spend a few hours. The hotel is charming and the beach beautiful. The only slightly annoying thing is that access to the beach was not included, so we had to find someone in the hotel to pay for the ticket, which was ~£5 each. It would have been preferable to add it to the ticket price. Tour of Colombo was v good. It was a Sunday on a long publc holiday werkend, so the traffic was SO calm. I think we were super lucky. Well organised, good cooms & great driver! Thank you

On November 9th, 2023 we were in the port of Colombo with the cruise ship AIDA Bella. We had already booked the “Shore Excursion Colombo Port to Mount Lavinia Beach & Colombo City for 4 - 6 people” through Tripadvisor with Kamvelta Travels. We were warmly welcomed directly in front of the ship and asked to go to the agency's office. There we were introduced to our guide Denzel and our driver, who drove us through Colombo for the next few hours in a large, modern van. We were shown all the important sights without any time pressure and explained by Denzel in very understandable English. We then drove to a very beautiful and clean stretch of Mount Lavinia Beach. There we could enjoy the beautiful sea with its big waves. After 2 hours we were picked up again and taken back to the ship. We spent a wonderful day in Colombo and can fully recommend this tour. We were a group of 6 arriving on a cruise and we were picked up in a large private bus as we got off the boat. We were taken to all the main tourist attractions in the city and our driver had a number of recommendations for us that were not on the original itinerary including a great restaurant on the beach for lunch. The timing of the tour is perfect as a shore excursion.
